I've fixed my "stuck" motherboard lighting by shutting down, pulling the PSU plug for five minutes and clearing the CMOS. The motherboard icon in Aura has returned and the software appears to function normally again.

Asus/Aura dev may want to take note. Not sure if this will continue to be an issue.

also tried this, still no fix....

What exactly is your issue? Motherboard lights stuck? Aura not detecting motherboard i.e no motherboard icon?

Motherboard Lights are not working and i get this dump chrome website error popup ehn i run AURA...

WIn 10 is just fresh intalled and everything worked perfect prior to win 10 december update...

Before I drive myself crazy...is this compatible with the Hero Alpha z170 board? It was listed in the downloads section for my mobo so I assume so but neither header will show up, just the GPU. This is a freshly wiped computer with the latest bios and all windows updates installed.

Yep. I can confirm that. Something is very wrong. I can confirm and that. I was ok with it but just fail again. In my case same as before, the probem is that is Aura fail, Light services goes highwire and crash other programs, well not crash crash but almost since OBS also stop working. on may occasion with same the same dump. But bu sure that is something odd.

If the motherboard is not showing in Aura I suggest shutting down and removing the power cable for 5 minutes. If you have a clear CMOS button press that before booting again or pull the CMOS battery. Doing this seemed to correct the connection issue I had.

tried this multiple times and still no luck.

no lights on mobo, no mobo icon on aura sync software.

RAM and GPU seems to be in sync with aura but no luck for mobo.

gonna tear down this rig and see what i can find.

EDIT
I just updated my BIOS version to 0612.
Still no luck with the mobo lighting back up...

In the name of science. I just make a complete wipe and clean installation of my computer. Heroix Z270 7700k and A8G strix 1080. My entire machine was updated to all MS updates. Install current motherboard drivers (chipset, IME, lan, gputweak, sonic studio and 1203 Bios. Running a 960 evo Nvme with current Samsung drivers ONLY) I am going to ditch the Logitech app gaming LGS for the moment. I am using stock oc And so far no issues. But I will test. I create a restore point and work during the week. So far is ok as before. No errors so far. On my entire installation before, Logitech is the only app that has not made any updates since October 2017.

I will not give any discard on that but I will test and make some checks on Event Viewer again for any potencial issues, and will report back IF I find something.

NOTE: I stop using corsair AIO product a long time ago. with same problems on the apps. I try to use the less softwares posible. my current AIO is control 100% with UEFI (Asetek 240 unit) I use corsair ML Pro fans in PWM.

JUMPED CLRTC
removed CMOS battery
plugged RAM all four dimms

because i ran out of things to check i did this next step.

Unscrewed IO shield
check if wires are loose
apparently it looks like it was about to fall of from the IO shield
re-plugged RGB lights to IO shield properly
screwed IO back to mobo
plug PSU cables to MOBO
power on.

LO AND BEHOLD LIGHTS ON THE MOBO
since im on custom loop i had to put everything back together to check aura software
left all RGB peripherals disconnected

windows loaded with no issues
I did not uninstall aura before i tore the rig apart.
Run aura.
Mobo was detected and was able to sync with software.
power back off.
unplugged PSU
connected everything to mobo

power on

EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL as it should be.

I dont know really what made it work but that is the step by step TS i did and it worked.
