Hi Team,

your Aura software seems to have a problem when using a windows user account which has no admin privileges:

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VI Hero
BIOS version: 9920 Beta
Processor: Ryzen 7 1700@3.8GHz
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 Build 16299.125
Memory kit: Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
Graphics card: Asus Strix 1080Ti OC
Mouse: Logitech G500s
Keyboard: Corsair Strafe RGB
Cooling solution: Air Colled Stuff
Aura version: 10.05.25

BUG Report:
When installing the Aura Software using a non-administrative windows user account, you will get the UAC Prompt to enter an administrator password (not the yes/no promt but you have to actually type the username and password when your non admin account is not a member of the local administrators).
Software installs fine. You reboot as requested by the setup. After rebooting and logging in with your non-administrator account the software does not open and a message box appears "please reboot your computer to complete setup". After rebooting several times, the message box is still there and you can not use the software. Problem occurs on both 10.05.25 and 10.05.28

Workaround / Solution
Log in (btw: starting the software as administrator is NOT enough!) with your administrative account into Windows and start the software from there. Software opens fine in the administrator session. When you log back in to your non-administrative session, the message box disappears and you can use the software with no problems.

Please fix 🙂
Regards

Hello,
my problem is that I can't control the leds on the motherboard, those on the pcb near the ram.
When I launch aura and I click on the link icon under the vga the program asks me to save but then crah.
I tried to uninstall everything, clean with aura cleaner, reset bios and remove the battery, but the problem is not solved.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I tried the new beta but the problem remains

i have tried to install the beta and installs but when run says it has stopped working. it is the download from the asus site for my TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R3.0
the old version works fine.

Hi,

I realize that the Z370-G has no RGB header, but where would we plug in something like the Silverstone LSB01? And if we got RGB fans that were also Aura compatible can we only control the fans and not the rgb on the fans?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I bought Aura Sync compatible Fans and LED's but I am starting to think even that might be useless with this board. I have to wonder why the ITX gets a dedicated RGB header and it has less real estate than the mATX board. No love for mATX I suppose. This is the first PC I have built with my son and so far everything has been easy except the stupid lights.

If there is no headers on your mobo you can't sync the silverstone module nor any of its kind like the Akasa one. Sorry

Oh I gave up on Syncing them before I bought them despite the promise of compatibility. I just have no idea where to even plug in the fans so they will light up or get power to the lsb01.
