Does the LED of the motherboard light on or not at all?

Not at all. Only the small leds (PWR_LED, Boot_Device_LED) are working.
I checked the connection again under the I/O, its plugged in correctly.

Then something might be defective. I advice you to RMA your motherboard.

Have you tried with Razer not launched?

I tried it today.

Turned on computer and closed razer synapse at about 13:48. Kept task manager open the whole time while testing and checked every 15-30 min or so to see if something happened. I used the computer as usual, playing games, webbrowsing and so on. At 16:45 I noticed "LightingService" was around 10%.

So it takes a while for this to occur and when it happens it stays att the high cpu util value until the service is restarted or I start the Aura program from the start menu.

Looking at other forum threads I see that this is a relatively old problem dating back to at least 2016 and is still not solved.

Ok, so I let the "LightingService" stay on high cpu usage for a while. One hour approximately.

I just checked inside my computer chassi and noticed that the color was stuck on the color green. I have it on the defaul aura settings which is "Rainbow" and "Color cycle ". I then started the aura program and the cpu utilization for "LightingService" immediately went back to 0,5-1% and the colors started to cycle normally again.

In other words the color cycling gets "stuck" when the "LightingService" cpu utilization is abnormally high.

Edit: So it seems to happen every 3 hours. Same thing happened after another 3 hours approximately. High cpu utilization and the lights got stuck on one color again. Tried a few times to open the aura software but this time it did not open. I then tried to restart "LightingService" as I usually do but this time something related crashed.

Strix Vega 56 isn't being recognized and I've got no control over the GPU through Aura.

This saddly has been reported numerous time.

When cpu usage gets high, lighting service may hangs/freezes.

I can run my light for hours if i don't touch my pc.
As soon as i begin semi intensive works (photoshoping) to intensive (3d rendering) it ultimately hangs after some times (half an hour being the usual case).

It did this since i installed aura the first time (which was .22). Same with 25 and 28.

On an x99 strix with windows 10 ltsb with a gladius 2, a 1060 strix and a Claymore.

Pretty much this. Seams the KB4056892 may have something to do with it as it also messed up AI Suite 3 (beta version solved this at least) and my Symantec Endpoint.

It happened before the patch for a looong time.
Not to say it isn't worst btw after the update but i would guess not (didn't check as i am abroad and will asap disable windows update when at home).
A total crash would be more in line with what happened with ai suite.

I got this error

Hi everybody,

i have also an issue with the Aura software and the leds on my motherboard and the LED-stripes.

First of all, my specs:
MOBO: Asus ROG Strix Z370-F
BIOS: 0605 (latest)
CPU: Core i7 8700k
Case: Phanteks P400s Tempered
RGB-Stripes: Phanteks
OS: Windows 10 v1709 (Build 16299.125)

I build my Pc a week ago. At first i got the AsIO.sys error, but i could resolve that, so everything was fine.
Yesterday i connected my rgb-stripes with a phanteks Adapter to the rgb-header on the mobo. That was working at first either. I calibrated it, but the colors were not right. It was working, but not the way i wanted it.

Next step was to connect the stripes to the other rgb-header on the mobo. After that, nothing is working anymore. My LEDs on the mobo does not work (the strip wich is istalled on the upper left corner). I checked the cable, but it is pluged in. I disconnected my seperate RGB-Stripes, but still the same Issue. The mobo is still not detected by the aura software.

I uninstalled and installed the software multiple times, without any improvements. i tried it by manually uninstall it wia control panel, but also the Aura Cleaner.
I tried to switch rgb off and on gain in the bios settings, but also no improvements.

I also restored my bios settings to default. No changes.
While i was disassambeling my PC to check the cable under the preinstalled leds, i also took the mobo battery out and pluged it back in.

I also looked up the LED EC-Versions in the bios:
LED EC-Version: Empty
LED EC2-Version: AULA1-S072-0203

I hope theres a solution for my issue somewhere.

thanks and best regards.

I can't help you with all of your issues, but I have the same case and I can tell you why the colors were wrong. That Phanteks case has a built-in lighting control button that interferes with Aura and the colors won't display correctly. You can turn off the built-in controller by holding down that button for two seconds, and that should fix the calibration problem.
