ASUS LEGO IT8857GX V0203 Firmware Update Tool is Trojan?

Hello guys, Microsoft Firewall detects ASUS LEGO IT8857GX V0203 Firmware Update Tool as a Trojan and deletes the file. I tried to download it 7 times, Microsoft Firewall detected it as a Trojan and deleted it all. Is it normal that it detects it as a Trojan?

I checked the SHA-256 and it doesn't match. Come on ASUS software team, what is this?

I have added relevant screenshots below.

The SHA-256 matches when you check the .zip File:

My AV Blocked the file first for scanning. --> After 1 Minute --> File is clean.

Thanks for reply. But very interesting, never happened to me before

I'm seeing the same thing on my end with this but haven't let the download pass for now since I'm just preparing to build the system.

what is  the firmware for?  Is it usb controller update or something different?

Strix X870e-e / AMD 9800x3d / Gskill 32gb 6000 / Crucial T705 / ASUS Prime 9070 XT / Lian Li 011 compact / Lian Li Hydroshift AIO / Lian Li Platinum 1300 psu / Windows 11 24h2

It definitely looks like the USB controller firmware to me at a glance

ASM4242 = USB4

ASM2074 = USB 3.2

IT8857GX = ?????

Hi,

IT8857GX = ITE USB Controller Manager Firmware (what drives it on the OS side is the ITE UCM Driver contained in your ASMedia USB4 Drivers : [DRIVERS] ASMedia USB4).

Hi, have they replaced the malicious file with a clean one yet?

Hey, i tried to download it again yesterday, this time the firewall did not detect it as a Trojan and I installed it.
