Asus Com Service and Aura Sync

Hello guys.
Yesterday I installed Aura Sync and quickly decided I didn't actually need it. Since only my GPU supports RGB led and just the dedicated GPU led control is more than enough. After I removed it I noticed that in the Asus folder there was another folder tree called AXSP/4.00.32/ and inside were various files and exes including the Asus Com service. I am pretty sure it wasn't there before plus the folder creation date and time coincided with the install of Aura Sync. So my question is - is it safe to remove if I don't plan on using Aura. I've read a lot of things about it ranging from "don't delete it, it will brick your system" to "it's a leftover you can get rid of it" which one is it?. After two days monitoring the services Asus Com Service isn't running most of the time. Can I safely remove the folder and the service?

My GPU is RTX 2070 ROG Strix
Motherboard is Asus H170 Pro Gaming, the rest I think doesn't really matter in this case.
