ArmourySocketServer.exe always crashes

Hi all,

ArmourySocketServer.exe always stops working.

Please help and ideas. The problem is that ArmourySocketServer.exe always crashes, not working properly. Create reinstallation has been done. All drivers are up to date. I attach the picture.

We don't even get an answer from the asus. They value their customers. Please, asus, at least tell us that we don't know, we are working on it. Thank you in advance.

in addition to armourysocketserver.exe, AsusFanControlService .exe is now stopped.

Not a bad achievement for a leading hardware manufacturer.

It stopped happening on mine a few months later but there was no specific fix I associated with it. If I had to guess it points to issues with .NET framework, or windows updates, or other updates not being installed.

Try this

Find the windows troubleshooter for windows updates and run it. Then check for updates.

Open your microsoft store and under the profile-settings (upper right click on profile then settings) make sure it is set to update apps automatically. Close the microsoft store app.

Go to start-apps-armoury crate and right click and select app settings. Reset Armoury Crate. Now do the same thing for Microsoft Store App.

Restart computer and open Armoury Crate and check for updates.

See if the problem gets better with some more use. Try forcing the system to run windows maintenance from control panel-security and maintenance-maintenance-Start Maintenance.

I think the maintenance steps * in my post right above * should be tried before anything else. Other things that have caused issues for me are shaky wi-fi performance, and problems with an MEI driver. But unless you have other symptoms that point to those things I wouldn't worry about them.

I don't think it has anything to do with AC itself. It only depends on your Windows version. 22621.1413 makes ArmourySocketServer crash many times, while 22621.1483(RP) and 22621.1344(Feb C update) won't. It seems that ASUS doesn't cooperate with MS well.
