Armoury Crate's Aura Sync won't detect any detect any devices any more

Hi, I have an Asus Maximus IX Formula and a founder's RTX 3080Ti. Both used to show up within Armoury Crate just fine, until a couple of days ago when IX Formula simply disappeared and its lights reverted to static red. Nothing I could think of helped. After I ran the Armoury Crate uninstall tool and reinstalled Armoury Crate it stopped seeing the graphics card too. Now Aura sync sees no devices, despite the dashboard seeing the motherboard correctly.

Does Asus ever test anything? I hate this modern evergreen mentality. There should be a setting to disable all stupid updates. How do I fix this mess? Armoury Crate version is 5.6.8.0.

Also, the forum suggest I "Link a product", but no matter what I enter it says "No Matches", so your forum's broken too lol.

Ok, I found a workaround. I tried to download the good old stand-alone Aura. I installed "Lighting_Control_1.07.84_v2", but it would tell me that the lighting service was not installed lol.

Ok, so I uninstalled "AURA lighting effect Add-on" and "AURA lighting effect Add-on x64", which seem to be completely useless, went to LightingService\LSInstall folder and manually ran the AuraServiceSetup.exe, and installed Aura Service 3.04.34. Aura Opened but could only see my GPU again, not the motherboard.

Ok, so I uninstalled that aura service, went to my ancient driver folder, found "Lighting_Control_1.07.79" folder, ran AuraServiceSetup.exe from there and installed Aura Service 3.03.79. Now my motherboard appeared and everything works. Seeing as you can only download "Lighting_Control_1.07.84_v2", which is just as broken as Armoury Crate, I'm going to back up "Lighting_Control_1.07.79" to multiple drives and OneDrive. It's a rare treasure now lol. Asus should re-publish it. Perhaps Armoury crate would also work with Aura Service 3.03.79 installed, but I really can't be bothered to scrap everything again and retry. At the very least I know this old Aura won't download any broken updates on its own.

Asus makes great hardware, but their software gets progressively worse.
