Hi guys, I'm having the same issue on my Maximus XI Extreme. I have tried everything. I uninstalled new version and reinstalled old version and still had the same issue. I even tried CCleaner to see if there were any files that were left behind and it still didn't fix the issue. Unfortunately the only workaround is to either do a System Restore or uninstall the USB BIOS Flashback utility within AISuite 3. Hopefully an update that fixes this issue releases soon. The good news is you can still update your BIOS within AISuite 3. You just cannot create a USB BIOS Flashback.

Edit:
EZupdate v3.00.11 was offered on my Motherboard's support site in the downloads section.

So you are running a Zenith Extreme Alpha as well, I found that DIP5 was causing random shutdowns on me, I was running 2.00.2 what version are you running?

Now I am confused according to the ASUS support site here:
https://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/ROG-Zenith-Extreme-Alpha/HelpDesk_Download/

The latest version of DIP available for download is part of AiSuite 3.00.51 and is Rev 2.00.02
DIP5 -ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors 5 V2.00.02 for Windows 10 64-bit.

So where did 2.00.5 come from which I am presuming is functionally numbering wise 2.00.50 ?

Additional : I just went looking for DIP V2.00.02 and the only reference I found for it was the following boards.
MAXIMUS VII FORMULA, MAXIMUS VII GENE, MAXIMUS VII HERO, MAXIMUS VII IMPACT, MAXIMUS VII RANGER

I have already read here in this very group that the software for boards is board specific and using software for one board from another could do damage... Is that where you DIP 2.00.5 came from another ROG PC?

ASUS drivers and software despite their names being the same are NOT unified I.E using a piece of software from one board on another can have consequences, my understanding is that DIP5 does not just read and control fan information but also fiddles with timings and voltages ( anyone may correct me if I am wrong about this ) and that using software that is specifically made for another board could result in you damaging your board.

It doesn't say are this is an X board so I will use Y voltage it's quite dumb and assumes that it has been installed on X board and thus will use Y voltage, each DIP5 package is compiled for specific hardware.

If you are happy to do that then fine no problems but if you do it could be stated also that you are also invalidating your warranty by using your board in a way that ASUS had never intended for it to be used. I believe manufacturers refer to it as 'abuse'.

So one should avoid updating EZ update to v3.00.11, unless doing a fresh OS install?
