AISuite fails to start after Windows update KB4056892 (Intel vulnerability patch)

PerpetualCycle
Level 13
It fails to start with "The Sever Threw an Exception" Error box.

The services and AISuite executable appears to be actually running, but the AISuite GUI does not start.

Please fix Asus (should have been on top of this I would think).

This info is coming from where ? Is it genuine ?

Well, if it's genuine then ASUS Global support don't know about it, they still think that users with AI Suite II just need to install AI Suite III which is not the solution.

Currently our view based on non response and the above we have to assume that as of today ASUS still don't understand that issue and therefore no one is addressing it.

I encourage everyone with the issue to use the ASUS support site to email them.

AiSuite II will be updated as well, but it might take a bit longer. I don't have any time frame for when it would be available.
Updated :
1) It will work with security fix, but still can't be easy installed on Windows 10.
2) As in, all above problems will be fixed.
Which one ?

I never had any installation problem regarding AI Suite 2, if we are talking about same problems mentioned, it is OK for me.

I think everyone would agree that we need a quick solution, that means ASAP. I get used to fan sound, but still it is annoying. You are the only one writing about AI Suit solution, if you didn't I would buy a fan controller until then.

i sent them an email the other day, saying ai suite 2 is broken from last windows patch. And asked them when it will be fixed. They then sent me a link for ai suite 3.....which then i told them it dont work on my motherboard. Am waiting for a reply.

No no, it seems that the support don't know what they are talking about. At least from what we are seeing.
Still waiting for AI Suite 2 fix !!!

Still waiting for AI Suite 2 fix !!!

Emailed Asus support Australia on 3rd January wanting to know if AI Suite II will be fixed (still a version listed for current model boards)

Received the same response as others with a link to AI Suite 3.00.13

We already knew that AI Suite III is not compatible with M5A99FX R2.0 Pro or M5A97 R2.0 but humored them anyway (just in case Asus made it compatible with all boards, wishful thinking)

As we expected when running setup.exe we are promptly warned that "Model is not supported for this application) - Setup aborts.

WHAT NOW WORRIES ME is that ASUS appear to think that there is no problem for their customers, customer support is sending out a canned response in the belief that version 3 is the ANSWER to customers with version 2 requirements.

Will this ever be resolved?

We have today again replied stating that this has not resolved the issues and the information they provided is incorrect for M5A99FX R2.0 and M5A97 R2.0 boards which require a fix for AI Suite 2.

We have so many of these boards that not having a solution is not acceptable.

UPDATE: We understand that there may be a solution for AI Suite II coming

Can an Asus Rep please shine some light on this for us?

We just need the microcode updated, and ai suite fixed, I rely on thermal radar to be honest to undervolt my H015 and silence those annoying assist fans. I see they have updated the H81, but not the higher end boards, which is disappointing. I was going coffee lake but now I think I will go for the second iteration of Ryzen. Not crazy about Amd's drivers in my past experiences though.

Yep, same issue here. Ai Suite failed.

Not concerned as I'm about to upgrade to Maximus X Code and 8700K, plus other componants, so will not bother with Ai Suite if it fails gain. The fan curves I use it for can be configured in the UEFI anyway.

Have Asus responded in this thread or are they just ignoring us? Very bad if they haven't responded. Quite disgusted actually.

Apologies if they have and I've missed it.
