So what is it about AISuite3 that it needs to talk outbound to "Asus Servers"?
It's also been just year since the last AISuite3 was updated. (not counting the DIP change that didn't affect everyone).
Why do I use AISuite3?
- I need my fans to work at particular speeds during particular temps
- I'd like to verify my OC, voltages, etc. (but that's not working well anymore)
- I'd expect a package I install from a vendor doesn't hose-up my computer, cause incompatibilities, etc.
- I expect updates, especially as we keep being told to do some magic uninstall procedure, because the package can't uninstall itself!
- I insist a vendor discloses what ports/protocols/servers and reasons they want to go outbound from my firewalls!
What irks me about the software.
- I go through lots of testing to find an OC that works. I store the parameters in AISuite. Then it gets lost the next time the prog installs/updates. Why is there no "Save As", that lets me put the OC profiles from AISuite to my own folder?
- Why does it take so long to go from, say Fan expert, back to DIP, or some other applet?
