Ai suite and violation problem

Hello there...

I just bought a Hero VII MB and everything was going well, since i decided to clean my registry, using the Tune Up Utilities...
After cleaning the registry, the suite 3 doesn t work. It gives me two errors.
First, a warning, saying that 'DipAwayMode.exe' has stopped working and then 'access violation at address 04d45bf4 in module dip4.dll. Read of address FFFFFFF7'
I tried to uninstall the program, cleaning again the registry with tune utilities and cccleaner but it gives me the same problem again.

What should i do?

Thx for your answers...

Ps: Well, i noticed that the error is shown when i install the dual intelligent processors 5 utility (the first one).
When i install the rest of the suite3 utilities, everything looks ok.......

You should have just restored the registry entries from the program that cleaned it .The cleaning program should have a rescue app to restore. IOBIT does.
I went the long way around and reinstalled AI got errors, then uninstalled with IOBIT'S uninstaller then ran the registry cleaner again , then reinstalled AI . And all was fine.
Then i thought to myself "Why didn't i use the rescue center in IOBIT Advanced care? Lol

Hi maxxxem,

Welcome to the ROG forum! Which version of the AI Suite are you using and so are you still getting errors? I'm a bit confused with what the exact problem, so please clarify.

Thanks,
Bahz

I get an access violation when AI Suite 3 starts. There is a memory write violation in AsAcpi.dll and the program terminates upon the write violation error. I successfully ran AI Suite 3 under 8.1 Pro and under the Win 10 upgrade as well. I applied the Win 10 updates for AI Suite 3 and after the updates, the write violation appeared. I uninstalled, cleaned and reinstalled; no luck. I uninstalled, cleaned and installed the version from the DVD that came with the MB; no luck. I uninstalled, cleaned, and installed another version of AI Suite 3 I found on the ROG forum that worked for some folks; no luck. I have installed Speedfan, but would prefer to use AI Suite 3 as I paid enough for it!

ASUS MAXIMUS VII Formula
i7 4790K
Noctua NH-D15
32 MB RAM - Crucial
EVGA Titan Black
Seasonic 1200 Platinum
Sandisk 850 Pro
Windows 10 Pro

Built a new system. ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Alpha MB, 32MB Corsair DDR4-3000, Intel 6700k Core i7.
All the ASUS software was working (though the AURA settings won't stay through a shutdown.) Was running integrated Intel graphics to start.
Got my brand new ASUS 1080 GTX STRIX graphics card. Installed the latest nVidia driver (368.39), then installed the latest GPU software from ASUS (GPU Tweak2 1310, VGA Aura 0021)

Now, AI Suite 3 gives an Access Violation at address 04273E5F in dip4.dll, read of address 00000064 whenever I try to go to the Dual Intelligent Processor 5 screen.
It gives an Access Violation at address 0427435B in dip4.dll, read of address 000001C8 when I try to go to the TPU screen.
It gives an Access Violation at address 042746FF in dip4.dll, read of address 000002B8 when I try to go to the Turbo App.
It gives an Access Violation at address 0427409F in dip4.dll, read of address 000000D8 when I try to go to the EPU screen.
It gives an Access Violation at address 042763CF in dip4.dll, read of address 000003A8 when I try to go to the Fan Xpert screen.
etc., etc.

No updates shown as needed for Dual Intelligent Processors 5 (1.02.87)

Why would installing the new ASUS GPU Tweak and Aura (along with the nVidia display driver) cause these to stop working????? And what can be done to try to fix it?

Yep, that sounds pretty much identical. I had also gotten the 'vender.dll' crash too, though that didn't seem consistent (it only happened during startup of one of the utilities, then never happened again.)

Hopefully they'll get the updates that fix this issue done soon. While the utilities aren't critical to running the system, it is somewhat frustrating and suprising that they didn't find this issue themselves. Someone in QA at ASUS isn't doing a very good job....this was an ASUS 1080 card on an ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Alpha motherboard. They should have seen this in testing.

never use Registry cleaners in Windows, It is unnecessary and it is forced to reinstall Windows properly. If Windows Event Viewer reported a failed key you can delete it manually. Never use Registry cleaners, never...never....never......

Same problem here just the exception appears on another module
58141,
after clicking ok the Aisuite loads but it looks like this,
58142
no content except the low bar info.
Tried the uninstall and re-install with no luck, same thing after re-install.
I used the ASUS AI Suite 3 V1.01.02 Install Program for Windows 7/8/8.1/10 32bit & 64bit on Maximus Gene VII.

Any input is welcomed. Thank you
