Hello,

I apologize if this post is in the wrong area, I am new to the forum world.

I am having a problem with Ai Suite 3. I will not open, and I get an error message upon start up. I have been lurking in these forums for many days, and I cant find a solution, so I decided to post. I will start from the beginning.

About a month ago, I built a new gamer.

ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z87-PRO (SOCKET 1150)
Intel Core i7 4770K @ 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 2 X 8 Corsair Vengeance
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 125G
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500G
Carbide Series 400R Mid Tower ATX
Hydro Series H100i Liquid CPU Cooler
RM Series 1000 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply ( overkill/maybe, but I will be adding another GTX 770)
Running: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

On Build completion, it fired up, with no problems, I installed windows, and started downloading games. I then ran Ai Suite 3, tweaked the fans, and started the 4-way optimization. It overclocked my CPU to 4.4, and I thought, wow, that was easy, I'll test these setting out for a few weeks.

I ran these setting for two weeks with a few problems. it crashed a few times due to what I think was GPU over temps, and I really wasn't happy with the two front intakes fans, they were noisy, and couldn't be controlled.

So, I decided to order 2 new front 120mm fans, and two 140mm fans for the side, to control GPU temps.

When I received my new fans, I installed them and fired it up. I received an error upon start up, but didn't really pay too much attention to it, because I first noticed that one of the front fans wasn't working. I originally thought that I had received a faulty fan, so I switched the two front fan inputs. I was using #3, and #4 on the motherboard. Both fans didn't work using the # 3 Fan input on the mother board. So, at this point, I am not using #3. Here are my current fan connections.

2) CPU H100i, Motherboard
1) rear exhaust, Motherboard
2) side intake, motherboard
2) front intake, power supply, molex

And upon start up, I get an Aisuite3 error that reads:

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it, ProgID::AssuFanControlService.FanContolManager"

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling all ASUS programs/drivers, to no avail. I have also disabled the #3 fan input in the BIOS, thinking there might be an issue there.

Sorry for the lengthy read, but I wanted to cover everything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

Hi, did u try to update BIOS or clear CMOS/reset default BIOS ? I think it's more related to BIOS firmware.

One more thing, u should not install 2 applications to control the GPU temp. We have Tweak and Tweak2 but you should select 1 only.

I didn't see where you installed the latest chipset or UEFI/BIOS ?? that's a good place to start.
