I am having the same issue but only with chassis fan 1. Chassis fan 2, 3 and CPU follow the set curves. If I "Reload Custom Curve" from the list it will follow that curve for a short time and then drop to a lower speed with two dots, one ghosted out. Same happens to chassis fan 1 if I use the preset curves like standard or turbo. Using AIS3 3.00.13 and DIP5_1.05.14

I am also using 1.05.14 and 3.00.13. However I am not using Chassis fan 1, but Chassis fan 2,3 and the HAMP (for the pump). First time I noticed it happened on the Chassis fan 3 because it stopped the fans. When enabled / refreshing the curve it would up the speed and I could also hear that waterpump rising in rpm. This is when I started to check all 3 and they all suffer from the same issue (just very bad that it actually stops my top exhaust rad fans!). I didn't realise the fans had stopped until I saw the water temps in my loop rise to 38 or so under low load.


Edit: I changed the windows 10 power plan to High Performance and being afk for dinner, fans are still running according to curve. Will keep updating if this has definitly solved the issue.

Edit2: So I dug a little bit deeper and turned on Windows Power saver mode. This by itself didn't do anything but once I forced the PC to sleep, then woke the PC from it's sleep. I noticed that the same 'ghost' issue occured again. I then made a note of the estimated %setting on the RPM scale for the fans. Then I changed the Fan Expert to Standard et Voilá - the fan curve the standard profile is one MATCHED exactly the position of the 'ghosted' yellow dot in my own fan curve profiles - for all 3 fans!!!

So this is clear to me that after a certain status of the system, triggered by sleep or power saving features in Windows 10, the Fan Xpert switches back to the 'Standard' profile and forces any fans to run at the standard fancurve speed designation, while the GUI is still showing the Manual user defined profile. In this case the GUI is showing the user set curved with yellow dot on the fancurve, and a ghosted yellow dot where normally the 'Standard' profile fan curve is.

So it seems to me the fix would be easy - implement that the Fan Expert/AI Suite loads the most recent loaded user fan profile and not default to Standard.

I did go into my BIOS and set them to silent mode, but they are still going faster than needed, and I hear them. AI Suite used to allow me to tune my fans, and this slowed them down to where I could barely hear them when doing only basic tasks on my pc. I liked that. AI Suite provided other nice features for me to use as well, and I hope to get a working version to use with my motherboard soon.

Too bad we can't simply get a universal piece of ASUS software to work on all of their motherboards, instead of being motherboard specific.

You can set the fan speeds up manually in UEFI instead of using the silent profile.

I installed AI Suite III 3.00.13 and it seems to be working, at least as of now, with my Z87-Pro V Edition motherboard. I've only used Fan Xpert 2 to tune my fans, and it seems to have worked perfectly. I was unable to get my fans any quieter through UEFI, even by choosing "Silent Mode" . Fans are quiet as of now, so hopefully everything will be okay. And hopefully we'll get a nice, polished version of AI Suite for us all to use very soon! Or at least ASUS should offers us a stand-alone program for controlling our fans, and temp monitoring. 🙂

Can anyone help me?
I just installed this version of AI Suite 3.00.13 and updated my bios from my z270e to version 1203. Before that, I was able to control GPU fans with AI Suite, but after those updates I can't even see my GPU stats (i mean voltage, frequency, temperatures or RPM from the fan) I liked too much those controls for GPU fans but now i don't know what to do to adjust the fan curve
(don't suggest me GPU tweak, i don't like because it only has two points for fan curve)

You could try MSI Afterburner. You can have up to 8 points.

But I hope ASUS will fix this, I have the same problem (and the card is seen in the BIOS).
