Not sure if this has been reported before, so if that's the case, apologies in advance.

After performing a clean installation of Windows 10 1903 (19H1) build 18320.30 updated through Cumulative Updates to 18362.86, I can confirm that AI Suite 3 v3.00.51 doesn't work with the latest version of Windows 10. It gets installed, but after rebooting the system, the services fail to be loaded properly and AI Suite just won't load up with a few error pop-up windows. Sorry, I didn't make any captures.

However, the previous version, v3.00.50 is working properly as far as I can tell. So, if anyone else around here ventures into Windows 10 1903, please avoid v3.00.51 until ASUS fixes the issue, whatever it is.

Cheers!

EDIT: I've managed to make DIP5 v2.00.02 work by combining the base installation of AI Suite v3.0050 with the corresponding folders for DIP5 v2.00.02 and System Information v2.00.02, which are the only components I always install anyway.

If anyone is interested, I can upload my custom version and share it through here.

hmm but isn't the DIP version of both packages v2.00.02?

No, v3.00.50 includes DIP5 v2.00.00.

Hi there,

regarding to clogged up hardware monitoring sensors i've reported earlier in this thread:

The problem in my case was AIDA64. If you use AIDA64 and your sensors showing useless data, try HWINFO64 instead. I got this hint from ASUS support, and they were right with this. Since i switched from AIDA to HWINFO, my hardware monitoring and my fan control are running as fine as i expect.

Just wanna let you know, in case you have the same trouble as i had.

Regards

The version of AI Suite 3 I've been using for a while is 3.00.28. It has worked pretty consistently on my X99 Rampage Extreme V with no issues.
DIP 5 version is 1.06.52 and is available for Win 7 & Win 10 ... link below.

I am presently trying to diagnose an issue on my ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha, I am suffering from unexplained occasional hard shut downs. I read that one user was advised by ASUS to remove the fan monitoring software which is part of DIP5 so I have done that after training the fans in BIOS and am continuing testing at the moment.

Presently the board is on my test bench after the previous CPU - another 2950X expired slowly over three days reporting CPU Error 0D - but after re powering the board it would come back up - until it didn't anymore.

I have seen another reference to the RGB lighting control software creating issues and that removing this fixes the problem but I am going to take the softly softly approach and remove one thing at a time.

When I have had the system running two weeks without a hard shutdown that is when I will say problem solved and not before. testing continues Day 2 of 14 without DIP5 installed.

I too wish that ASUS would make their software more generic with one app package for all boards, I mean what is to stop the software from saying ahh I am on this board and am using this chip so i handle dip this way? surely this is not so hard ASUS?

*** ADDITIONAL ***
I just checked my administrative logs and found that since DIP5 has been removed the following message no longer appears.

The description for Event ID 56 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

ACPI
15

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table.

Day 3 of 14 .... No crashes or ACPI error.
Day 4 of 14 .... No crashes, but ACPI error has returned - this may not be over yet
( I will still be happy however if the PC does not crash even if I do have an ACPI error)
I truly believe that there are people on this planet who should voluntarily remove them selves from the gene pool.

@ASUS Software Staff:

I would love to see AISuite 3 updated to fully support the new Ryzen 3000-series CPUS (Zen 2), to take into account the following update on the behavior regarding temperatures/voltages measurements (shared by Robert Hallock):
For temperatures:
• OLD BEHAVIOR: Report the highest temp (“instantaneous temperature”) of any sensor in the whole CPU, no matter how isolated or brief. This approach overstated the prevalence and significance of fleeting peaks, which artificially inflated temperature reports by up to 30°C above the true silicon conditions.
• NEW BEHAVIOR: Report a short-duration rolling average of all temp sensors in the chip. This model will give you a holistic view of what the processor is doing across cores, cache, bus interfaces, etc. It’s the closest any software monitoring tool can come to portraying the true thermal conditions of the chip, and it’s the same model our own Precision Boost 2 algorithm uses to make temperature-related boost decisions.

For voltage:
• OLD BEHAVIOR: Report the highest transient voltage in the whole CPU, no matter how isolated or brief. This, too, overstated the prevalence and significance of fleeting peaks, which artificially inflated voltage reports by as much as 800mV.
• NEW BEHAVIOR: Report the average voltage requested of the regulators, which presents a “whole chip” view that factors in sleeping cores, idle cores, and active cores. This is the closest any software monitoring tool can come to portraying the true electrical conditions of the chip, and it’s the same model our own Precision Boost 2 algorithm uses to make electrical-related boost decisions.

ADDITIONALLY: We also intend to release new developer documentation that enables third-party tools to take the same measurements, so you can continue to rely on your favorite third-party apps after they’re updated. We will be contacting utility vendors directly with more details when the documentation is ready.

I've just got a brand new ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, and I rely on Ai Suite to control different fan profiles in Windows. So, if those changes are included, I will be able to adjust them to work the way I like them without worrying too much about constant upspin and downspin from my case and CPU fans.

Cheers!

Mine is running fine with all fans .

One thing i will like, is temp reading and monitoring has to be on real time is not fast. apps like HWinfo64 is faster.

Aside that AiSuite51 is working and loading fine in my codexi

Can I use AI_Suite_III_3.00.31 in Win7 to update the BIOS for a friend remotely?

Asus lists version: AI Suite 3 V1.01.26 for Win7

For Win10 they list AI_Suite_III_3.00.31

Unless install win10 and the new version of Ai Suite, then do the BIOS?

thanks
