I don't recall seeing an error past the small 17763.195 update build on my end, though I'm on the following updates since cleanly installing 1809:

Version 3.00.31
2018/11/07 58.45 MBytes
AI_Suite_III_3.00.31

Version 3.00.28
2018/10/31 148.76 MBytes
Ai suite3-3.00.28 & DIP5-1.06.52

Basically only 3.00.28 is relevant since it has a DIP updated version, where 3.00.31 just has an update for EZ Update sub-component, so perhaps worth trying on your end, even if its not on your MB page? You can simply install one after the other as these packages are not cumulative. I'm on PRIME Z370-A and did the same back then.

I have 3.00.13 installed, there is no 3.00.14 for the Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi). This morning I woke to over 800 dialogs telling me it can't load point.png ... was so bad I caould barely move the mouse. Ended up having to hit RESET. Not good.

ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming, BIOS update to 1103 and fan control is even worse now. Thermal probes get wrong values, like -1 degree for CPU or below -100 degrees for mainboard (see sc attached), and thus the fans won't adapt rpm to rising temps... leading to emergency system halt due to high temps.

ASUS, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

FIX IT!

EDIT: just seconds later, more than 200 degrees above the first value, see attachment... ASUS: really?

Is ASUS to blame or Microsoft for throwing out these updates that screw up more than just MB sensors ??:confused::confused: Is this your only software that has been affected ???

I'm afraid, i don't understand the question. My MB is from ASUS, not from MS. The BIOS is from ASUS, not from MS, the BIOS update is also from ASUS... the behavior of this ridiculous onboard fan control was pain in the a** before the BIOS update (see my post here) , and it's even worse since right after the update. I don't see the point, where MS came in? Nothing has changed in OS before or after the BIOS update.

ASUS has developed this fan control and it's not working since day one. Why should any other than ASUS has to be responsible? I would not be suprised, if the root of all evil is this UEFI crap, that has way more problems than it solves. good old BIOS was light and simple... and due to that fact it was way less buggy.

I've paid way over 100 bucks for that piece of electronic waste, and i seriously thinking about throwing it away and buy an new MB from another manufacturer. Running into an emergency halt due to a not working fan control (that i have paid for as i bought the MB!) is absolutely nothing, that i would ever call a STABLE system.

Even if this were my very first self built computer (but it is not) and i had done something badly wrong with cooling installation, the rising temperatures should have made the fans spinning up to higher rpm. But if you look in my other post, linked above, you'll see the base problem: temps are good, fans are not. Sometimes they stay on low rpm while temps are rising, other times they spin up to max rpm, even if the temps are low... nothing I can do to fix this, and nothing to blame MS for. And since updating BIOS to 1103, the temp values are also worthless.

Usually i never update a BIOS without good reason. I updated this BIOS because hoping, it will be better now... but i was wrong. Incredibly wrong...

Regards
Sven

Hi MasterC Happy holidays. and soon a new year will start. I have 3 board here to work

1. z270 heroix and Z370 Code X Both with last know bios. i want to start using the AI SUITE. I have to install first AI 3 3.0.13 and then Dual intelligent processor 5 1.05.14 as a upgrade?

2. Code XI Bios 0602 Only AI Suite III 3.00.28 or 3.00.26? The .28 is a upgrade?

The boards are part of our admin Facebook community effort to push asus on the market here in Panama.

I keep coming back here to see if they have fixed AI Suite but always the same......problems, problems, problems.

For the moment I am all set through Q-Fan in the BIOS but damn I want all the functionality and convenience I paid for....at least that is what I read on the "marketing" page of my Rampage VI extreme.....

I have no faith that it will be fixed to be honest and should my build become more complex I think I will resort to buying an Aquaero controller both for the fans and LEDs since Aura is also half-baked and lacking in features.

The motherboard though is working perfectly stable....it's just the software that is such a let down....

With that said, I don't think Asrock, Gigabyte or MSI are any better in this respect. I hear that their software is also having issues which leads me to believe that Motherboard manufacturers simply have no experience in developing software that works. The problem is what are they doing about it? Who is in charge of improving the current status? Are they doing anything at all?

I wonder what % of folks suffer with issues on AI Suite. I've used AIS on my Hero VII, IX, and now my XI. I used Fan Expert mostly....although I do make occasional tweaks to my OC in Windows via AIS. The only issue I have had is my GPU temp not driving my case fan curves correctly in the latest version. So I just use PCH temps as a substitute. I know this is a panful and disappointing experience for many users here. It makes me wonder if they struggle to duplicate the issues on their side. Just guessing because some of the reported issues are really a deal breaker and I would have thought Asus would jump on the problems.

I think there are several threads about problems with FanXpert4. Time delay and fan control according to settings does not work for real.

There is Argus Monitor from Argotronic. It works 100% but you have to spend money. It is really bad, that ASUS isnt able to give us a fan control in that way.

+3 to all three of you !!! Having to use UEFI is OK but the AI Suite was really nice when it worked right up until the first few days of January 2018 when MS screwed mine up. According to ASUS that is, probably true.
