Ok thank you. I hope they will fix it.
Its a significant performance boost when I can overclock Photoshop and After Effects to 4.1 ghz which would crash if all cores are overclocked. Which is why this feature is very important I think.
I don't know if it is intended to turn off between every reboot or if there is a "hidden" way for it to remember the on/off feature between a every time I start the machine? I assume this isn't something you can answer or ask the team about?

got a new pc a few weeks ago been testing ai suit on that

8700k
ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING (WI-FI AC)
Corsair VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB 3000MHz
ROG STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING
windows 10 pro latest build
bios 0612

overclocking on ai suit works fine on this
fans give the same problems as on the x99 when the pc is on for a few days they wil spin up to half or full speed for no reason pc runnning at below 35c
fan settings getting reset and have to re do the auto tune
dont know if the other problems are the same since this pc gets shutdown every few days

all problems on the x99 strix are stil the same
got a blue screen when unplugging my mouse again a few days ago pc had been running for almost 11 days

Hi any news on a Dual Intelligent Processor 5 update which saves Turbo App ON/OFF settings instead of always switching it off at startup?

For me running the Threadripper 1950x at default clockspeed and using the Turbo App for single core programs such as Photoshop yields much better results than general overclocking. But it is annoying to turn it on at every time I do a reboot.

Yes, it's unfortunately limited to this because it's not aware of whether OC related parameters have been changed on the system, so as a safeguard, it needs to be manually enabled after each restart. Nothing that can be done about it at present.

So I have fiddled around a bit more and I can reproduce quite simply the issue with the Fan Xpert profile changing.

- Go into Fan Xpert4 and select your personal Profile (for example) 'Quiet'. This will show in my case chassis fans 2 and 3 as:

- Go into your power settings and change your 'Turn off the display:' setting to

- Wait for 1 minute
- Observation: Watch your screen turn off AND WATCH AS ALL CHASSIS + HAMP fans grind to a halt!! (yes, that includes crucial water pump).
- Click your mouse to reawaken your PC..
- Observation: Watch your screen turn back on and watch as chassis + hamp fans turn on again.. but read on.

- Go into Fan Xpert4 and watch the 'ghosting' issue where speeds are running different from set profile (chassis fans 2, 3):

Observe supposed speed (ghosted yellow dot) and current speed (full yellow dot).

- Go/stay in Fan Xpert4 and click on 'Standard' (profile)
- Observe yellow dots for chassis fans:

The yellow dots are in the *same* position in both screenshots from the custom profile and in the standard profile!!

What we can conclude from this:
- turn off monitor feature in Windows 10 triggers

  • Shutdown off all fans except cpu/cpu opt fan
  • Change actual fan profile to Standard but show visually the last set/custom fan profile

Suggestion to fix:
- Do not let the software shut down all fans when monitor is turned off!
- Create possibility to set a profile as 'Default' profile. Let the software always (re-)start Fan Xpert in the set 'Default' profile.

I am really concerned about the issue. If the fans are running a bit lower than they should due to 'Standard' profile being activated, I can live with that . I can not live with that when the monitor is shut off and a heavy program is running in the background, putting load on CPU and pushing up temps, to have my PC shut down due to thermal problems and high rising temps b/c my waterpump and fans are shut off!!! Or worse.

Kind Regards,
LD

Nice work playing "Discovery" Hopefully ASUS can reproduce it too. I would test and confirm on my system too but I uninstalled AI for now and I am using UEFI settings for fan control since the temps here are getting 100'+ F for a few days and I don't want my top fans dropping out.

Good work, that's probably the one thing I did not try but I bet you $$$ to doughnuts that is exactly what was happening on my system.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 17134.191 (1803/RS4)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS Intel H270 (Kaby Lake)
BIOS Version: 1205
Crucial Technology 1200.5 MHz (DDR4-2400 / PC4-19200) BLS8G4D240FSB.16FB 4x8GB
EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SC ACX 2.0

now i get why my fans always spin up during the night when the pc is not in use

@Raja@ASUS:

some motherboards received BIOSes with support for ASUS WMI monitoring interface/API.
all monitoring tools should be updated to use this API (and stop using direct low level query).
when will AISuite get updated to use it?

Hi,

I am desperate this AI Suite is killing me.
It ran fine for weeks now after a reboot I cant start Fan Xpert 4 anymore.
I have deinstalled and reinstalled AI Suite several times - still the same problem.
I have deleted the Folder under "Program Files (x86) and installed version 3.00.13 and 3.00.10 and I still get this error message.

I need this program to control my waterpump fans.

The exact error message is:
Access violation at address 0632B5A2 in module dip4.dll
Read of address 00000000.

Can anyone help me?

sorry, can't help, but would just like to add that i'm another person with this issue.
Asus Z370 -g gaming (WIFI), latest bios 0612
8700K @ 5.0ghz
32GB trident Z RGB ram

have tried various versions, all give the same error. tried immediately after clean install with only chipset etc installed, tried another clean in stall with all windows updates/drivers etc, tried various combinations. the only way it's working now is with no fan profile saved (working for now, that is) and using the standard/silent modes - version 3.00.10 nothing else. but, the widget doesn't work at all, just keeps crashing. not sure what other info i can include. have tried using the cleanup tool everytime and countless reboots. please fix!!

Hi there. To anyone who has an old Sabertooth mobo and wants to use thermal zones and assistant fans.
I have Z87 Sabertooth Motherboard and I've managed to make Thermal Radar 2 fully functional again.
I did these steps:
1. Install Ai Suite 3.00.13_0329 from page of TUF X470-PLUS GAMING link
2. Install Ai Suite 3 ver.10056 from page of Z87 Motherboard(for windows 8.1) link
3. Use "Uninstall Ai Suite 3" from Windows Start Menu. Check everything except Thermal Radar 2.
4. Reboot. You should have only fully functional Thermal Radar 2.
I don't have DIP5 or any other additional features anymore(well DIGI+ Power Control is still there but I didnt check if it is working), BUT Thermal Radar 2 is fully functional. It works with both of Assistant fans, I can use thermal zones etc.

P.S. offtopic, but does anybody knows if I should install any "meltdown" microcode updates on windows? Are there any for i7-4790k?
