Maybe the wrong thread, but find no better one...

Got the Prime Z-370A,and see today on the Asus support page that there are many updates for the Bios,LAN,Audio,VGA,RST,Intel managment.... actually my system works fine so i don´t know if to update all these components ...." never change a running system.." ?!

waited with the Windows10 update till the AI suite is fixed to work properly...

edit: really funny, when i want to start one of these "updates",a message appears that the already existing versions are newer than the one i wanted to install^^

do you reboot your pc often or do you alway leav it on
i dont think i have the problem atm but il try bf1 soon and see

I always leave it on. The issue will return.. basically whenever it feels like. I can't find a rhyme or reason to it.

I can sometimes tell before I actually get into gameplay that its happened. In Overwatch for example on a gold gun there is a pulsing highlight that shines along the gun barrel. That pulsing highlight will exhibit the same frame hitching as in game so I know to back out and reboot.

But still pretty annoying.

i also always leav mine on have you also had randome reboots or clock speeds getting stuck below 800mhz and fans spiining up randomly during times when the pc teams are rly low ?
and are you running any over clocks from ai suit or bios auto over clock or manual over clocks ?
and i have also had randome blue screens when unpluging usb diveces
just wondering if you have had one of thes problems for me latly it has been running okeys but have a rly small overclock atm
but the problems some times just go away and then come back after a while

Have you checked number of handles in your system?
EZ Update and USB BIOS Flashback are leaking handles like there is no tomorrow in default configuration

On average, each process owns from few hundred to few thousand handles.
Which makes the total amount of handles in the system around 100K. You have 150 times more handles on your system.

Consider that handles are allocated in kernel memory, and perhaps that kernel should periodically go through all handles to perform necessary housekeeping.
So with leaked handles there would be some resource (kernel memory) impact, and some performance impact. How big this impact is? I don't know.

Here is the link to my original post describing the problem with EZ Update and USB BIOS Flashback that was conveniently ignored https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?98800-AI-Suite-3-Version-3-00-10-amp-3-00-13-user-test-rep...

Will there ever be a stable version of AI Suit and Fan Xpert for my motherboard?
I am sick of this crap of software that doesnt work properly but is the only way you can manage your fans connected to your mobo.
I just connected another fan to my mobo and now fan xpert isnt working anymore. Even after I disconnected the fan and reinstalled the software and rebootet multible times it crashes with an error message. This happened before in other situations and its kinda annoying that you dont have a working software for a 400€ hardware.
My mobo is a ROG Strix X299-XE and the AI Suite Version is 3.00.13

Hopefully Asus will hire some programmers to get this fixed anytime soon.

No random reboots
I've only run DIP5 in terms of overclocking. Nothing done manually.
No blue screens.

Of course always keep your software and bios up to date.
Especially the new bios and me interface it has the security updates you have been waiting for
ASUS Maximus 13 Hero, Intel I9 11900k, EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA

it´s curious ,now the latest bios isn´t available on the hp.

but saved one 😉 PRIME-Z370-A-ASUS-0613.CAP

too much bugs so they removed it i think....
