Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (Fresh install today)
Z87-Pro V Edition motherboard

I just reinstalled Windows 10 Pro, and there is no version of AI Suite listed for my motherboard (under Windows 10). I installed the old version of AI Suite I had been using, and it asked to reboot to finish the installation, so I did. After I rebooted and the log in screen came up for me to log in to my pc, there was no way for me to log in. No log in prompt or anything, just the background wallpaper for the log in screen. I could not do anything at all! No options for me to reboot or shutdown. I had to press the power button to turn my pc off and on. I tried several times to reboot by doing this, but kept getting the same thing. After many failed attempts to log in to my pc, I had to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10 again. And that sucked!

So I ask, will there be a version of AI Suite to work with my Z87-Pro V Edition motherboard? My fans will run full blast without it. I did go into my BIOS and set them to silent mode, but they are still going faster than needed, and I hear them. AI Suite used to allow me to tune my fans, and this slowed them down to where I could barely hear them when doing only basic tasks on my pc. I liked that. AI Suite provided other nice features for me to use as well, and I hope to get a working version to use with my motherboard soon.

Too bad we can't simply get a universal piece of ASUS software to work on all of their motherboards, instead of being motherboard specific.

Thanks

Hey Dawg,

I have been fighting this issue with Window 10 build 1709 for about two weeks now.
Finally got it fixed after downloading version 3.00.10 from this site. It works fine on
my older Z97-A motherboard.

Good luck man.

Indeed the W10 april update broke the latest version, which was working great until now

Please update the AI SUITE 3

Thanks!

Working - AI Suite III 3.00.10, Z87-Pro, and Win 10 version 1806 (Insider build 17692.rs_prerelease_flt.180625-1624).

Unblocked and extracted .zip. Ran Setup.exe as administrator.

Finally! My fans are quiet again! I don't know if this matters, but this was a clean installation (no previous or previously-removed version of AI Suite, since previously, AI Suite would crash my Windows 10 and I had to rebuild.

While there are several modules of AI Suite that weren't offered in this installation, I'm OK with that because my primary need was to get FanXpert working again.

Is there a possibility to fix this?

This is the exact error I now get. Using AI_Suite_III_3.00.13_DIP5_1.05.13 and then DIP5_1.05.14 on top of that, as recommended by Asus support. After a few weeks of working fine, I started getting the problem where it lost all my fan settings again. I reinstalled using the cleaner procedure documented well on these forums and now this error happens whenever I try and run Fan Xpert.

Fan Xpert is the only feature I want, yet the only feature I can't use! 😞

All I want to be able to do is run my radiator fans at 0rpm when my CPU temp is low. I can't get that working with SpeedFan, and Fan Xpert now crashes. Any help or advice on a product that DOES do what it's advertised to do, would be great.

My specs are:
i7 8700k
Z370-E Gaming
16GB Trident Z
1080 ti ROG Strix OC (ASUS GPU Tweak running)

I have tried uninstall and reinstall several times. Every time it works for maybe 1 or 2 boots then I get this error.

Although in general most of Aisuite III seems to be working on my Maximus X Hero board, I do have noticed sometimes that in Fan Expert the curves that are linked to the onboard thermal sensor do whatever they feel like it. The yellow dot (which marks the place on the fan curve according to the current temperature) is where it should be, but there's also a secondary yellow dot ghosting somewhere along the 10-15% fan speed in those curves (in my case way below what it should be) and the fans seem to be running @ that speed/dot. If I then manually move one of the curves and apply, all fans seem to reinitalize and run at the correct speed.

This is weird cause it doesn't seem to be an issue with software not talking to the hardware properly, but more an issue in the software itself where some kind of alternative curve is activated (maybe some for of silent mode) which seems to (not graphically) overrule the actual fancurves.

I really like fan expert and on my Asus Z170 Pro gaming it has been working flawless for 1,5 year. Would be disappointing if this flagship motherboard it wouldn't work!
