Anyone know where the profiles for Fan Expert are stored in AISuite 3?

C:\ProgramData\ASUS\DIP\FanXpert\Profiles

bye

Works with Maximus VII Formula. However Fan Expert does not tune the CPU Liquid Cooler. It did so in the previous version. FYI I use Corsair H100i v2 CPU Cooler

Greetings!!!
Situation Update on Jan14, 2018

Tried to install the latest release of AISuite3, V3.00.13, on
https://www.asus.com/hk/Motherboards/PRIME-Z270-K/HelpDesk_Download/

Somehow, still can't see the fan controller and power consumption tab
Am I doing anything wrong?

My Settings:
Asus Prime Z270-K
Intel Core i7-7700
Asus ROG Strix GTX 1060 6G Gaming
Windows 10 64bit
Intel P6 SSD

Advice welcome!

Not to worry that happens often with Asus installers. Right click the .Zip file, click properties. Check "Unblock" before extracting.

I totally agree with this. I went to my Max. VIII Extreme Support page and after trying to uninstall AI Suite 3 10103, which did not uninstall everything. I had to use CCleaner to clean up the Registry and manually delete files. I downloaded AI Suite 3 again. Installed it, and installed a hotfix that I also found. Rebooted only to find the BSOD!!

I then spent 4 hours fixing this MESS!!

And now I find there was a fix all along?... Buried in a thread?!! BS!:mad::mad: This fixed it!! Why is it not in my Support Page!

Thanks for the fix though. I would be happier if I had found it sooner.

In my case with Z170-A for example the AIS from other motherboards is not complete , only some modules are available , missing most but most importantly DIP is always updated and as a part of it Fan Expert . For my Z170_A ASUS should update the whole bundle with all components wich are in my case :

ASUS AI Suite 3 V1.01.30 Install Program for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Ai Charger+ V3.02.02 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.(Z170-PRO not support)
ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors 5 V1.03.00 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS EZ Update V2.01.34 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Mobo_Connect V1.00.27 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Push Notice V1.01.06 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS System Information V1.00.22 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS USB 3.1 Boost V1.10.04 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.

So after running the .13 release only DIP was updated , but worse of all If I do a mistake and on fresh installed Windows I FIRST install the bundle it fck up my Windows so badly I cant access any peripherals it becomes completely unresponsive only option left to Install W10 from beginning and I mean from freaking Point ZERO .
Once I have W10 installed and everything set and updated I first have to run the NEW version of AIS before beta .10 now it will be .13 , then restart then RUN the BUNDLE which will not touch the installed DIP but will add missing components .
ASUS really makes our life difficult and Im getting very pissed off with ASUS incompetence to maintain their own hardware and software not to follow Windows 10 updates and adopt to the new one. Worse of all their Customer and Tech support is USELESS a complete TRASH!
I was an avid ASUS supporter but lately I have nothing but problems with ASUS hardware , motherboards , sound cards , and I defiantly wont buy anything form ASUS in some longer time .
I really have enough to scavenge around other ASUS motherboards download pages and do workaround after workaround ...fck this !

I really hope someone at ASUS is paying attention!!!

I know this problem was caused by a Windows update, but having identified the problem and started on a fix it still astounts me how disappointingly bad ASUS support is. Why is it that this thread seems to be the only place that mentions the issue and provides a link to the Beta update which is on a server that is so undersized that it's stating to come back in 19 hours and try again?

Thankfully some other kind user has provided a Dropbox link enabling us to download the file (which hopefully has not been tampered with).

My FrontBase stopped working following the Windows update and today I have been investigating why. Yet again I've found myself wasting hours sorting out your mess. Please don't expect me to be an ASUS customer in the future as I certainly won't be buying ASUS again, I'm sick of the shambles you think is support!!!

ai suite 3 beta somehow causes windows power plan to revert from high performance to balanced, every time I boot up windows.

Note that I only really use AI Suite III for the enhanced fan control features that come with Fan Xpert. Using a Prime Z270-A with Win10 build 1709 I had similar issues: AI Suite III not loading at all, attempting to start it via Programs resulted in the task briefly showing in Task Manager and then disappearing. Installing Beta 3.00.10, I did the following:

- Started with the previous version of AI Suite III found on my MB's support page (1.01.61)
- Backed up the entire C:\ProgramData\ASUS\DIP folder (which contains any custom fan/TPU profiles)
- Downloaded 3.00.10 and unblocked the file (Right-click, tick "Unblock" and apply)
- Extracted, ran AsusSetup.exe, and Installed DIP5 on top of the current installation
- Rebooted as per the prompt
- Restored the fan profile data from the backup

So far, everything seems to be working fine. Sleep mode is working, fan control is working and all AI Suite III menus are visible and accessible. I did notice that the fan profiles were deleted as a few have mentioned earlier, hence backing up the DIP folder.

I have also noticed that installing 3.00.10 has given a bit of added functionality in that Fan Xpert now allows a custom "Critical temperature" to be set for the CPU fan. Whereas the previous version forced all CPU fans to 100% at 75 degrees, the new version lets you customise that up to 100C, which was one of my original reservations about Asus' fan control options. I must therefore give out thanks to whoever developed and OK'd that for release!

But mainly, AI Suite is working again and very quickly after these issues started occurring. Thanks to the developers and those involved in releasing this so quickly, even considering the issues that some are encountering - I can appreciate that working to such a tight timescale is not a pleasant experience.
