Dear Friends,

Greetings!

I came here with the hope to find solution of an problem I encountered after installing latest windows update.
Yes, Asus AI Suite 3 shows an error message: "The server threw an exception error "

But I saw there were already pioneers in front of me, and I think I will just wait for a more safe/confirmed solution for it, hopefully an official update from Asus herself.

Just in case it may help, my system configuration:
Asus Prime Z270-K
Intel Core i7-7700
Asus ROG Strix GTX 1060 6G Gaming
Windows 10 64bit
Intel P6 SSD

I restarted the system after the windows update, and suddenly all Asus AI Suite 3 related software are not working!
I tried un-installing and re-installing it. No luck.
Upgrading AI Suite 3 from ver. 1.0x to ver. 2.0. No luck also.

Since there is no confirmed solution yet, I think I will just wait.

I sincerely hope that Asus will solve this issue ASAP.
Computer system without health monitoring is indeed highly at risk.

One of the AI Suite 3 victims

I am having the same issue as the OP, right after a windows update a day or so ago.
Tthere is a cleaner application that was originally posted here by an Asus representative but it seems to have been removed from google drive so I cannot use it.
I would like to think that there would be a fix in the form of an update to AI3, however I believe that it is no longer being worked on except to adapt to new products.
I hope someone on the internet can find a work around to make it functional again, I would like to be able to control my fans and water pump in software.

This is what I have done in an attempt to resolve my issue

    Uninstalled AI3
    Reboot
-This is where I would have installed and ran the cleaner if it were available-
    Install AI3
    Reboot
Get error that tells me that "The remote procedure call failed."

I suppose that I could uninstall the windows update. I do not usually make it a habit of rolling back system updates unless I am on the Insider rings (I am not currently on insider ring)

FanExpert4 worked well enough for me to use it, it is a shame that it is now broken

it is now here

i tried this also
still no luck
I think it is the windows update that causes the error

Its all about the latest Windows update:

Unfortunately Asus is not making fixes for the Ai Suite anymore.

Same issue as you are describing..

Damn, I really need some software that I can manage fan speeds with.
Most of the software that I am aware of either needs hardware to do it (Corsair link which I refuse to use and NZXT cam both need hardware)
and software like Speedfan do not really support my mainboard. So I am pretty stuck I will basically have to use turbo fan speeds permanently, set in UEFI...

I had the same problem(ix hero i7-7700k) so i just used a restore point and wait and see what happens when windows releases it Tuesday,I like asus suite as i mananage my fans and pump speed plus i used the auto overclock it has my cpu at 5153 at 1.29volts

I dont know what to think about all this "funny" situation. Firstly prompts about gpufanhelper after Fall Update in win10 https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?96732-UAC-prompt-at-startup-since-Windows-10-FCU - even dont know if finally fixed cuz i still was using old all suit ver ..

Now after win10 security update 2 days ago no All Suit III at all...

Tried install my old version from mobo cd , no all suit at all.
Tried install last avialable for my mobo AISuiteIII_V10159_DIP5_10390 - no all suit at all.
Tried install version ASUS_AISuite3_Win10_V2.00.14 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Utility/ASUS_AISuite3_Win10_V20014_20170926.zip - get same error as you - server exception.

wtf. Assus could u consider updating yout utilities corresponsing to OS updates?? We have 2018y. The All Suit for my Z170 pro gaming on download is from 2016.. ridiculous.. Your clients and users still "sometime" are using All Suit.. is this strange?? At the moment i dont use GPU Tweak for My Asus Strix 1080 cuz couldnt set it proper and had also fans issue - with app from own manufacturer lol.. i changed it to MSI Afterburner to control Asus GPU.. - so should look ahead to competition software to control mobo, fans, cpu O.C.??

lol.. This year i change cpu and mobo to Colffe Lake / Canon Lake + z390 mobo and probably wont stay with current asus mobo manufacturer.. each month == more disappointment

Regards.
ROG client from years.

What do you mean with ASUS not making fixes for Ai Suite anymore? Did they just give up on this software?

No, not at all. There is a fix to download. Download Aisuite III 3.00.10 and everything is fine.
