AI Suite 3 MoboConnect causes BSOD on Maximus VIII Hero with Windows 10

Hi all,

This is just a heads-up to anyone who is getting BSOD's after installing AI Suite 3. There is something in MoboConnect (a part of the suite) that was causing the issues for me. I've uninstalled it now, so I can't find the exact name of the faulting component, but it was something along the lines of android...x64.sys. Anyway to fix the issue I booted into safe mode, then ran the MoboConnect setup file from the motherboard CD, which uninstalled the faulting component without removing all of AI Suite 3. The system boots fine since then, albeit I haven't checked up on the AI Suite utilities to see if any rely on that component and have since broken.

The BSOD errors were a series of kernel-mode memory violations, one of which was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I can't remember the others, but there were at least 3 different ones.

Not sure if ASUS engineers keep an eye on these forums, or where specifically to raise this as a bug. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm going to try this when I get home. I've been having that error, kernel security fault and timing issue.

I've got exactly the same problem. i can't install AIsuite 3 under windows 10 enterprise. It stops installing or gives BSOD

Yeah been having the same issue all weekend. Have you had any more issues since uninstalling the driver?

ive got the exact same issue with the z170 pro gaming and ive made a thread - > https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?89839-Z170-Pro-Gaming-AISUTE-Bsod

uninstalling the aisuite solves the "problem", but it was great to use the aisuite software without any bsods because of the fan settings you can make.
