So I bought a RIVBE and a 4820k sunday, spent the rest of the day rebuilding my rig and now starting to OC. What I'd like to do is leave the Vcore on auto and use EIST and C states to manage my idle power consumption. The thing is I don't know how to set a max Vcore voltage in the bios without using a manual Vcore setting (defeating EIST and C states).
I know that AI3 has voltage limiting settings at the bottom of the window. I also know that any overclock profiles you set in AI3 don't auto-apply on restart (at least thats what I've read). So my question is this: If I set voltage limits in AI3 do they auto-apply on reboot or do you need to manually apply them at each startup?
