the system displayed a notification that something was blocked by Smart app control (https://i.imgur.com/8g6Klhk.png) and there was a link that I clicked on (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/smart-app-control-has-blocked-part-of-this-app-0729fff1-48...) I checked the logs and saw that it relates to Armoury Crate.
also the "Check service/HAL service version" option does not work (nothing happens when you click on the button.)

I was on the insider ring testing this when it was 1st released and my advice is to turn it off. It's a great idea with bad execution. Not being able to add apps to a whitelist is a bad move on the part of Microsoft. Even now, almost a year after its 1st preview the app still flags some Microsoft apps and won't let them run.

Hey Olexander,

I've encountered a similar issue with Windows 11's Smart app control, and it can be quite frustrating. From your detailed post, it seems that Get-AppxVersion.exe is being blocked, and the error logs indicate a System.IO.FileLoadException. Here are a few steps that might help you resolve this:

1. Whitelist Get-AppxVersion.exe: You can try adding Get-AppxVersion.exe to the list of trusted applications in Smart app control. This should prevent it from being blocked in the future.

2. Update Armoury Crate: As you mentioned, this issue seems to be related to Armoury Crate. Make sure you have the latest version of Armoury Crate installed. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility problems with the new Windows updates.

3. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, a system update can resolve these issues. Ensure that your Windows 11 is up-to-date. Smart app control may have received fixes in recent updates.

Regarding the "Check service/HAL service version" option not working, you might want to check if you have the necessary permissions or try running the application as an administrator.
