I'm absolutely unsure if this is the place, but I want to share my unpleasant experience with Armoury Crate so far.
I have a ROG Flow with factory pre-installed Windows 11 and a Threadripper Desktop with Windows 11 as well.
My main complaint is that the app always takes ages to update - I've just finished updating the app on my Threadripper Desktop and it took more than 30 minutes with a 300 MBp/s network... and a Threadripper!
That's insane times and the last time I've updated it on the ROG Flow took about the same - and I was forced to update it too.
So to sum-it-up - please fix your broken update process and make sure the update is smooth and fast - not sure how big the app is, but I am sure whatever the number of MBs/GBs is, the update time is insane.
Furthermore, nobody likes it when there's an app that control core parts of your system (like the performance settings of the ROG Flow), that randomly decides to stop working altogether just because ASUS decided they will release a shiny new update, which should never bother a customer.
Finally, I wanted to register now for an account of the app - and I came across an absurd process. NOBODY in the whole world should ever ask me for my date of birth, to choose a password, and TO VERIFY MY E-MAIL ADDRESS, if I decided to login with Facebook???
What kind of an absurd process it this and who in this Universe thought it's a good flow??? Why would anybody choose to login with Facebook, Google or Apple when one still have to do a whole manual process of writing down things and verifying addresses???
And if this was not enough, I had to pass a reCAPTCA when I've chosen my username for the forum here? What the hell guys? Your registration process is so broken and long that I guarantee you NO ROBOT in the whole Galaxy will ever try to choose its own username! G.U.A.R.A.N.T.E.E. you!!!
I love ASUS and ASUS Products, been using such for years now and I will not stop. But the Armoury Crate experience today got me out of my nerves. I'll have a bad week now just based on this BS process I had to overcome, which took more than 40 minutes of my life, and because of what????? What exactly both me and ASUS achieved besides of me having a simple online account?
Please, try to implement some fixes and please find a better workaround for your processes.
