The following questions might come across as 'loaded' but they are actually genuine questions, I'm hoping to hear there is good news on.
I uninstalled Armory crate back in August of 2024 for so many reasons I understood, and for even more I didn't have any more time to invest in trying to understand.
* Do major functions of Armoury Crate (fans and RGB) yet work without having to provide elevated priveleges? (i.e. have they moved this into a non user service yet?) I don't expect to be able to configure as standard user, I do expect it to silently run admin configured settings.
(** I don't want to get 'any' prompts for elevated privileges when log into non administrative UAC user. Bleeding edge technology that it is and I've been using since 2008. )
* Does Armory crate still refuse to let you change settings without installing an update?
* Does Armory crate still wipe out all your fan configurations every time it updates?
Better yet, are there any Asus alternatives to Armory crate, that focus on 'just' Fans, and RGB? I really don't want any of the other janky nodejs rubbish.
And I'm not lifting a finger to hack around with changing the accounts used to run various tasks, unless those hacks are fully supprted by ASUS.
