Unable to update FanXpert (error code: 238) Armoury crate

So I'm trying to update my drivers in Armoury crate but I just get this message: "Sorry, we cannot finish the installation. please restart the system and retry. (error code: 238)" Can anybody help?

Hello, could you tell us what your hardware is (MB, AIO, GPU), which Windows and how you installed Armory Crate? Did you install through the correct official link? Here: Utilities Armory Crate & Aura Creator Installer Version 3.2.6.1 2023/04/11 https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/
Did you update and are you letting it update automatically?

Hi 3DG,

No, I uninstall via the installer offered via the software of my MOBO. That is also the place where I get AC. It never updates itself after installing so it has the latest version on your product page.

ps. I am STILL uninstalling - installing AC every 10-14 days because things stop working or disappear from the AC overview in hardware or AURA.

pps. Sometimes turning my PC off completely helps to get disappeared devices back.

So i restarted after installing (it was a first install for me, and it didn t install fan expert at all, before now)

At start i had all the system fan working, but after setting my preferences, all the chassis fans are magically gone!

If i try the automatic sintonizzation, it stop at 50% for ever...

It s so funny If i think i bought Asus for having less trouble...

Eso me pasaba a mi hay una solución fijo que tienes varios ventiladores conectados al mismo conector 3 en 1 lo que tienes que hacer es dejar solo un ventilador conectado haz ajuste automático y después conecta los de más puedes conectarlos en marcha no hace falta apagar sistema

I am sorry to bring bad news. But ASUS uses armoury crate to configure all it's hardware.

Armoury crate is (very) far from perfect, even if it is already years in development.

A bit sad....

Anyway, thanks to @radiovi i solved. I had to disconnect fans from the chassis RGB adresses controller (even if it s compatible with AURA and all the rest, the case is a Sharkoon RGB HEX), connect one by one to MOBO (TUF gaming B760 PLUS WIFI), sintonize them and, after sintonized, i was able to recconect all to the case controller and being detected by FAN EXPERT.

So, my case is solved, but again, i really didn t expect a so complex procedure with Asus products/softwares...

Me alegro tio son muchos años con Asus es triste que hay que hacer cosas raras pero es así jejjejje
