same issue.. with ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO

In BIOS I only have the option to install Armory Crate or not in Tool\ASUS Armory Crate -> Download & Install Armory Crate app: Disabled or Enabled.

Do you have an automatic update option active or not active in the BIOS is that it?

For me, Armory Crate's automatic update is done through the Microsoft Store, so I have to go to the settings and leave Application Updates Disabled.

And when I installed the problematic Armory Crate last week, I did it through the Armory Crate & Aura Creator Installer V3.2.6.1 11.04.2023 tool made available by ASUS website in my MB settings, then it installed the broken version V5.6.3. 0 and the version I had before this formatting was correct. So I think it's time for Asus to listen to us, and for us to come together to have versions separated by "stable" and "beta" and stop having as many problems as we are having.

No you just have the option to enable or disable it.  But simply disabling it will prevent the auto update function.

Great to know that, I thought it would keep updating itself through the Microsoft Store, so I deactivated it there in the MS Store, I'm going to launch the MS Store again for the other programs (although I'm going to think about that too, I think I'd better have the choice of what these things are automatic)... I always leave the AC disabled in the BIOS, because I always install it last, after formatting + Drivers, then I install the AC. But I would rather have it to download and install the stable version, from one week to another (two formattings), the first one was smooth and linear and this problematic for this new AC (beta) in my view. Thanks again for confirming to disable the automatic update in the BIOS! 🤗

Evening,
Disable auto update in bios will stop MS store auto updating AC even with auto update still on in MS store ? I usually use the get update button for my other apps you see.

best way to get round the error for the failed fanadk error.

1. use the armoury crate uninstall tool from the asus site, reboot when removed,

2. reinstall armoury crate, reboot, open armoury crate and check for updates ( there should be a few) when all updated reboot

3. open armoury crate again check for updates ( the fansdk will be left and when updated shows a red exclaimation mark after update) close armoury crate

4. open regedit, ( here is where the problem lies!), go to "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ASUS\ArmourySDK\AiSuiteSDK" and change the version number from 0.00.00 to 1.00.67 save and close regedit ( when using the full armoury crate install from asus site this gets updated, but fails with the small install from motherboard page).

5. goto "C:\Program Files\ASUS\"  and delete the folder "RLSDownload"

6. reboot and open armoury crate and check for updates, it should be fixed after check and fan expert in armoury crate should now work

(the fault doesnt occur if you download the full install, and select all mb + fanexpert then upgrade as the version number in the registry gets updated correctly)

but it doesnt fix the up and down temps in the info section when armoury crate polls the hardware for updates

come on ASUS fix this!!!

Not sure what you mean when you say 'The full install'  Since there isn't any option like this on the asus site.  If you mean going to the Asus website MB then driver location, there is only one ArmouryCrateInstaller option and none for any cut down or partial installations. Also I'm not sure what you mean by 'All MB + Fanexpert' as there is no such option during the installation.

if you goto https://rog.asus.com/us/armoury-crate/ and scroll down, select download, then full install youll find it

Remove armoury crate and install AISuite 3.1 and if you use Intel then get intel support assistant, all 3 pc's 10,12 and 13th gen intel runs much better now after removing armoury crate it's only made to look smart it does nothing good for our computers.

Thanks for that information. I installed it to view if I could change the fan speed of my casefans, but this isn't the case. (They are connected to a fractal define 7 fan hub) . If the software doesn't do anything, it will be removed soon 🙂
