Unable to update FanXpert (error code: 238) Armoury crate

So I'm trying to update my drivers in Armoury crate but I just get this message: "Sorry, we cannot finish the installation. please restart the system and retry. (error code: 238)" Can anybody help?

In part, you are right, but there are people like me who have the Ryujin II 360, so I would like to have the information on its screen as well as the PUMP controls, if I did not have this AIO, I would certainly have nothing, absolutely nothing. Armory Crate or other software from them like AISuite, in my case, I would only use Fan Control for the fans. Asus has provided us with installers without internet marked as stable or beta and have them separated, as each one has a different hardware configuration. What a nightmare this is all! Thanks for the tip!

I updated my mobo BIOS 2 days ago because it said it had better AURA software support... My mobo was one of the first items to disappear in AC in AURA with a time out on the mobo hardware page.

Only difference I see when booting is that the POST information is less than before, normally it would say something like 3 usb hubs and show the 2 SSD hardrives, but that is gone now.

I had to clean install my entire PC to remove the sh*t AlSuite III put on my PC.

ASUS support recommended not to install it, but use AC instead.

I installed the AISuite a few times in the past and wrote it off as bloatware. I wouldn't advise anyone to install that.

I'd disagree with that.   AI Suite is at leas completely functional with software that allows you to control and monitor your system. Armoury Crate on the other hand IS full of bloatware.  I mean seriously! Portals in the software to buy games, have a virtual pet and a whole bunch of other stuff that doesn't amount to a hill of beans.  The navigation is appalling and it isn't nearly as intuitive as AI Suite which at least gives you a grounded insight into what the hell it's there for.  Armoury Crate seems like an avenue into your system for them to promote and sell you stuff.

I installed ai suite when i got this error in AC, in ai suite i couldn't control any of my fans, ai suite was telling me to get AC so i reinstalled it and fixed the 238 with the solution in here

i just assembled my x670E-plus, bios updated. last version of everything is on. but still can not download fan control anc i do not have control of the cpu fan that does not go faster as minimum speed.. it is strange. in the bios motherboard it works good.. so, i can not install fan expert too... i hope they can fix it soon

Replicate this issue 🤔, no chance, it is fixed for now.

I ain't opening AC, i've set my fan curves and RGB to a solid colour , done.
