Stuck on Install, Can't Abort

UPDATE  - Problem Solved -  after web seach I found out that this is solved by going into BIOS and disable the auto install Crate (in Tools).

-----------------

Screenshot 2025-01-01 08.04.46.png

I got a notice that I should install Armory Crate even though it was already installed.  After reboots it kept telling me to install it, so I foolishly allowed it.  Now I am stuck part way though the install, making no progress after several hours.

I closed the window and restarted, and after restart, the stalled install is there again.  And again, no progress.  Several reboots and still the same thing.

I then uninstalled Armory Crate, which it did.  Rebooted and it is indeed uninstalled but this same stuck installing is still there again.

No matter what I do, it seems there is no way to abort, or stop the install process.  And it is definitely stuck.

I realize now that I should have posted asking why it is asking to install even though it was already installed.  Well too late, but lesson learned.

How do I clean up this mess?

Hello, I am having the same issue. It was my first time installing it and it got stuck. I used the official unistaller and the window didnt open for one reboot so I thought it was uninstalled successfully. However the next day it appeared again. I have not found a way to get rid of it yet.

EDIT: Just noticed your edit, disabling it in BIOS worked. Thanks a lot 🙂

I solved it by solved by going into BIOS and disabled the auto install Crate (in Tools tab).  It has never returned since.

Also, I had uninstalled Crate trying to solve it before discovering the solution.  So after fixing it by disabling the auto install in BIOS I reinstalled Crate again and it is running properly, and the problem did not come back.
