Good morning, Asus. Once again, I find myself dissatisfied with your high-end products. It just so happens that 24 hours ago, Sonic Studio was enabled in Armory Crate and working perfectly. Now, it has disappeared, and I cannot get it to appear as it did before.
SONIC STUDIO SAMPLE IMAGE
I uninstalled Armory Crate using the tool you provide, reinstalled it, and still, Sonic Studio is nowhere to be found. As a last resort, I even reinstalled Windows, but that also didn’t fix the issue.
Does Asus really consider these things when selling its products? It seems that you prioritize aesthetics, but the software that controls these components is unreliable. The most frustrating part is that there is no effective customer support service to address these issues. Instead, customers are left creating posts in the hope that someone else might provide a possible solution. This is extremely discouraging—having such an expensive product only to experience continuous problems with its software.
In the video, everything is shown being downloaded and installed, yet Sonic Studio fails to appear. Additionally, the heat source for RPM fan control is missing RAM readings. Fortunately, the GPU source showed up, but it seems that these features work inconsistently—appearing and disappearing randomly.
Please help me understand how to resolve this issue, or does Asus simply offer visually appealing products with poor software quality?
Furthermore, I found another post from a customer reporting a similar issue, and if you look closely, there were no solutions provided. To make things worse, the post was closed, meaning the customer can no longer respond or continue seeking help or suggestions. This kind of action leaves users stranded without proper support, further damaging trust. Sonic Studio Not Present in AC - z790 Maximus Dark Hero
Thank you for your attention.

SonicStudio 3 is not part of ArmouryCrate but of the audio driver and is also a separate app. So it is installed via the audio driver from the Windows Store if SS3 is intended for your mainboard. Incidentally, SonicStudio is in the selection at the top right of your screenshot of AuraSync effects on your mainboard. You will also find it if you go to "Scenario Profile" in the selection on the left in ArmouryCrate. It should also be listed there.
You can also find it in the Windows apps because that is where it is linked.
If SS3 is deactivated on your computer, you probably did it yourself by mistake or turned it off in some other way.
So what did you do on your PC BEFORE the problem occurred?

Are you sure what you're saying?
Does your board look like my example screenshot?
It should be inside Armory Crate just like it looks in the screenshot.
I use the audio drivers from ASUS and SONIC STUDIO doesn't show up, the ones this board uses are SS but not SS3.
Since I bought this board everything happens with the audio and other things like heat source for the Fan Expert and the RGB that is disabled if you exit a game that uses RGB lighting.
Luckily when I restore the system or the same if I format it, one thing is fixed, which is the encoded sound, as other times it doesn't get fixed. Do you think it's my problem or ASUS's?

Hi,
Don't confuse SS and SS3, they are 2 different things in the same way that Dolby and DTS are :
- SS (Sonic Studio) is DPS by Bongiovi Acoustic Labs rebadged for ASUS ROG products : If you want use SS, you need Armoury Crate to install the SS drivers by Bongiovi and for SS user interface (which is in Armoury Crate).
- SS3 (Sonic Studio/Radar III) is Nahimic by A-Volute (since acquired by Steelseries) rebadged for ASUS ROG products : If you want use SS3, you don't need Armoury Crate, the SS3 drivers by A-Volute are installed with the Realtek USB Audio Drivers and SS3 is an standalone app (installed/updated from Microsoft Store or from off-line installer).
You can determine by yourself your motherboard audio type by your hardware ID, you have to check your Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Right click on your Realtek USB Audio device > Properties > Details tab > Hardware Ids :
ASUS ROG SS|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards with ALC40xx codec Hardware Ids :
ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards with ALC40xx codec Hardware Ids :

Every time I try to install Armory Crate this message appears,
and no matter how many times I try to install and reinstall Armory Crate with the Audio driver, SONIC STUDIO does not return.

Hi @Warryor3D, @Powerboy,
Since you have an ASUS ROG SS|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards with ALC40xx codec, as explained previously, SS user interface is in Armoury Crate :
So if SS user interface is no more in Armoury Crate, your issue is Armoury Crate related (and the timing of your issue begin seems to correspond with the release of Armoury Crate v5.9.9.0) and I can't help you for Armoury Crate, that's on ASUS's side.
So report your issue in the Armoury Crate v5.9.9.0 dedicated report thread (following the instructions in the first post of the thread, otherwise your report will not be taken into account by ASUS Support staff) : Armoury Crate v5.9.9.0 & AURA Creator v3.9.3.0 [Report here if any issues].
