If you have this issue, the following steps will fix it:

- Run the uninstaller from: Armoury Crate - Support

- Follow all the steps en reboot the notebook

- Install Armoury Crate from: Armoury Crate - Support and make sure you download: Armoury Crate Full Installation Package (Version 1.5.0.7, 4.99 GB, 2025/08/18)

- Install the package as default and reboot.

- Update the components within Armoury Crate but NOT "Armoury Crate" self. You can install the content and playground library.

Now everything should work fine. You can update everything else like Windows Update, updates from MyAsus and Microsoft store. Make sure you disable auto updates from the store as Armoury Crate updates its core from there and do not update Armoury Crate from the microsoft store.

With the steps above you don't need to do any cloud recovery. I did send ASUS a message about this issue, no working fix for now. Only the do NOT update Arnoury Crate workaround.

Currently version 6.3.9 is out and it has the same issue. The issue is reported to Asus and has now a pending case. This thread has been added as well. ASUS support has given in the respond to not update to a later version then 6.2.11.0 as that is the last knwon working version. LOG files are shared, hopefully the make a fix for this issue.

UPDATE: Asus will update Armoury Crate to fix this issue. The original message:

=============================================

A new update for Armoury Crate will be released, and it is expected to be available in mid to late January.

As a short-term solution, it is recommended to temporarily continue working with a lower version of Armoury Crate until this new version becomes available.

I hope this has sufficiently informed you.

Brand-new ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) and the software isn’t working for me either!
I also have to manually restart AniMe Vision every time after a Windows restart.
Please, Armoury Crate team, fix the problem as soon as possible!

Got the same issue. I was thinking it is maybe a update of Armoury Crate.

I tried a reinstall of armoury crate, this does not fix this issue.

Armoury Crate Full Installation Package
Version 1.5.0.7

Is the above version to be installed and not to be updated further ?? to get the fix on the LED anime

I checked mine, the version what came with the cloud recovery is: 6.2.7.0. It is running fine on this version. The latest is 6.3.6. I did not install that one. But i did a complete reinstall of the laptop, not only the upgrade / downgrade of armoury crate.

And i did not do any updates within the Armoury Crate. What i did update are the Windows Updates. (The laptop i have is the ASUS STRIX SCAR G18 835 with 5090 and 64GB RAM)

So i did some additional research. The armoury crate within the cloud restore has a nasty bug for external monitors, it simple cannot duplicate a screen.  Version:  6.2.7.0 holds this bug.  I updated to 6.3.6 and broke the led screen [again]. So i downloaded the AC_Full_Package_1.5.0.7_202508051359, which holds: 6.2.11.0. This one fixes both issues. So the version recommended from you is the best one. It can be found here: Armoury Crate - Ondersteuning.

Hi, I tried your advice 2 days ago, and the issue still happened repeatedly. And thank you for your latest update. Should we conduct an overall update after installing the 6.2.11.0 version?

You can install all updates from Windows, expect for the armoury crate update from the microsoft store, make sure you cancel that update as it automatical updates the client. As that updates armoury crate to the latest version. Before you install 6.2.11.0 make sure you deinstall armoury crate with the given uninstaller from ASUS. Within armoury crate i did not install the "assistant module" and i installed all the updates expect from the ARMOURY CRATE update. If you really cannot get it to work you can use G-Helper (G-Helper | Enhance Laptop Control), this is a small open source project what created a light weight version of armoury crate with only the basic functionality. I did test this and it runs fine on the G18 835LX. (it does control the anime vision, RGB, and hot keys). If you want to try G-Helper then make sure you deinstall armoury crate with the deinstaller from ASUS.
