ROG Delta II Audio Issues After Armoury Crate Update

Hello,

I just updated my Armoury Crate firmware, and now my ROG Delta II headset sounds terrible!

When I'm talking with friends, their voices sound super pitchy but also oddly flat at the same time. Music has the same issue—it’s extremely pitchy, and the overall audio quality is horrible.

I didn’t have any problems before this update. Is anyone else experiencing this, and are there any fixes?

I just received this unit and it sounds horrible. My 10 Year old HyperX is miles ahead. Im getting a headache of the bass and the highs. Music sounds awful aswell. Besides the very negative experience with Armoury Crate i am going to return this if there is no fix.

Which version of the SDK you have? My headset (Delta II) is sounding better than my music headphones from other brand, but when i updated to the newest SDK 3.01.33 the audio became horrible! I guess you have the same issue...

too bad i nevery experienced it sounding good. Do you know a way of downgrading the SDK?

Yeah, i think it's from the SDK a lot people are reporting issues after the latest update...  I think there is no way to downgrade the SDK, only if you rollback your windows (recover it, with hour before you did the update).

They should add option to rollback updates!!!

I also have the same problem, in fact they do not save the sound optimization.
think that if I activate for example Reverb and deactivate it it returns as it should sound. then every video I open it bugs again.

Hey guys,

I have the same versions as Juano12.

The Equalizer may have got set to default after the update. Try playing with the EQ in Armoury Crate, you can dial in your own personal sound preference.

The ROG Delta II sounds great !

Hi Nate,
i have connected the Headset to my Galaxy S23U (Bluetooth) and listened to some music via Spotify (non premium) and it sounded a lot different.
It has to be something on the Armoury Crate. Im glad for you that you are fine with how it sounds but the performance on PC for me is just pain. Ingame everything is dumbed down and overly bassy even without any bass adjustments.

Luckily i did not activate Cashback yet.

Hi just a quick update:

I noticed that there are some new windows settings. I turned off everything and the dumbness in sound is gone. Now its enjoyable 🙂

Unfortunatly, it's not the first time that this Bongiovi Acoustics Render Effect bork the sound of an ROG headset after an update. It already happens few months / year ago with the Delta Animate.
