Hi everyone,
I've recently noticed a process named 'asus nodejs web framework' (a collection of 10 processes), consistently consuming about 5% to 10% of my 14900k CPU resources. This seems to happen even when my system is relatively idle.
I'm trying to determine if this is normal behavior for this particular ASUS process.
For context, here are my system specifications:
What I find particularly noteworthy is that I observed this CPU usage pattern even after uninstalling Armoury Crate and only installing the Armoury Crate Gear application for my ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard. This leads me to suspect that the 'nodejs web framework' process might be related to the software for ASUS peripherals, even outside of the full Armoury Crate suite.
Has anyone else experienced similar CPU usage from an ASUS-related NodeJS process? Is this level of consumption expected, perhaps for managing device communication or features?
Any insights, confirmations, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @MMMIUer
Can you record a log file via Armoury Crate when this happens?
Settings > About > Record Log
Are you using the Omni receivers for one or both devices?
Try disconnecting one or both and see if the CPU usage continues.
Ensure you're on the latest version of AC (16.1.18.0)

I've already unplugged both Omni receivers, but it had no effect. I've also checked and confirmed that my Azoth Extreme has the latest firmware installed. I recorded a short log, and during this period, the CPU usage consistently fluctuated between 5% and 7%. I've experienced this issue occasionally, but it seems to be tied to the Azoth in my case.
1. Are you using system stats on the Azoth Extreme?
2. What lighting effect are you using for the motherboard? Certain effects will consume more runtime.

I have tried disabling the Azoth's system information display module, but it had no effect.
I use MSI Center to control my MSI motherboard's RGB, but I have turned off all the lights and have no active RGB settings.
Additionally, I use Corsair software (iCUE) to control my fans, liquid cooler, DRAM lighting, etc. However, removing the ASUS plugin from the Corsair software didn't help either.
I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling AC.

I just discovered that when I completely removed the Azoth Ex (including the keyboard cable and the Omni connector), the application consumption returned to normal. But this in itself is definitely not normal.

Thanks for confirming

@MMMIUer Are you on 16.1.18.0 AC?

Yes, and I have checked that all other drivers and components are up-to-date.
