Newest Armoury Crate blocking FanXpert in AI Suite III at boot?

Anyone else having this problem since the latest Armoury Crate update?  Normally on boot FanXpert automatically sets my last loaded fan profile which is customized and saved with a custom name since it won't let you overwrite the default 4 Asus ones.  Since updating AC the other day to the latest one, now when I reboot this does not happen and it actually seems to be loading one of the default profiles.

This is immediately obvious because my BIOS  profile like my custom FanXpert one is set to use the water temp in my loop to base the speeds off of.  This usually results in a very steady fan speed, but on boot the fans are up and down all over so it has to be using one of the default ones that is based off CPU temp.  I have to manually go into AI Suite and FanXpert and load my desired fan profile now.

I'm not sure if my copy of Amoury Crate is not installed right as well or the Crosshair VIII Hero just isn't supported by it properly, but I've seen screenshots in here about FanXpert where people seem to be able to created/edit profiles INSIDE Armoury Crate.  I don't see FanXpert in AC at all though, just the Info dashboard shows a panel with the 4 default FanXpert profiles but no way to edit or add new ones.

Anyone have any ideas on this?  Still having to manually set my fan profile in AI Suite 3 every reboot and FanXpert doesn't show in Armoury Crate and there's not an option to install it either.

I am also experiencing the fan issue being set to a default setting on my Asus TUF Gaming X570 Pro (WiFi) motherboard since the new update.

I have never been able to select a custom profile from within Armory Crate for my fans so I have always used AI suite 3's Fan Expert to control my fans. ( always referring to this MB)  At least I saved a profile to AI Suite to easily rest my fan curves as that would really P me off if I had to take the 3+ hours to figure out the settings again.

You are not alone in this issue nor is it just your Motherboard's model having issues. I feel your pain with this one.

After some research on Asus's website this is why we can not see Fan Expert in the Armory Crate:  "Starting from the Intel 600 / AMD X670E series, the Fan Xpert functionality will be integrated into Armoury Crate."

Being that our MB are based on the X570 Chipset we will not see the option to control it through Armory Crate. This does not negate the fact that they Boned us again with Fan Xpert on our boards.

Thanks for that info, that explains at least why it doesn't show in AC.  Might be time to dump FanXpert and figure out that fan control software that all the techtubers have been talking about for a few years now.

They must have pushed a stealth fix very recently.  I haven't updated anything in AC manually in a couple days and as of last night the fan on startup issue was still there after a reboot.  Just now this afternoon trying to figure out why one of my LED strips stopped working again I accidentally tagged the power button and the PC shut down so I also shut off the PSU switch while I disconnected and re-connected the flaky RGB strip.  When I booted back up I realized that "wait my fans are behaving" and I didn't need to manually set the profile in AI Suite like I had been having to.

Yeah mine is back to the same behavior again as well.  I shut it down again to try to fix my LED issue again and when I powered back up, the fan profile issue was back.  At least that gives hope that maybe a software update will actually fix it.

I just un installed both AI suite and AC and did a reinstall but the issue remained.

I know they updated the fan xpert in AC but they have not updated the stand alone fan expert 4 in quite a while and I think that this is the reason for our issues. I'm not a programmer so it is just supposition on my end.

Tad bit of info: when I did the uninstall Asus says not to remove any remaining files or registry entry's so when I reinstalled everything Fan Xpert still had my saved fan profiles still there. Yes I uninstalled using the AI Suite 3 cleaner they have but I am curious if this would keep the issue going.

So for now I entered my BIOS and set the Q-fan settings to what I have in my custom profile to see if it will use that after a restart.  I believe Fan expert is setting the fan settings to Turbo. Have you noticed this also?

Yes it does seem to be setting it to turbo.  My BIOS fan settings aren't the same as my daily use curves since I threw something usable together quickly after my last BIOS update, but it's still far less fan speed than what happens when windows boots.  Also my BIOS profile like my custom fan profiles in FanXpert are both tied to my water temp sensor in my loop.  On boot it's obvious whatever is getting loaded is something else that's tied to CPU temp instead because the fans are bouncing all over instead of steady.
