Issues installing keyboard update from Armoury Crate

I opened Armoury Crate and noticed I had a keyboard update (ROG Strix Flare) and I cannot complete the installation. Now, as a result, I cannot change my RGB for the keyboard in Aura Creator because it says I need this update. I have read that reinstalling Armoury Crate can fix it, however I have also seen many people say that doesn't work. I'm wondering if there is a way to force the update or download it a different way?

Ok, I do see the ROG Strix Flare is supported with Armoury Crate and Aura Creator.

Since you're getting the 4151 error, try using the Armoury Crate uninstall tool and reinstalling Armoury Crate.

In the link below select your operating system, click "See All Downloads" in blue, the uninstall tool is the second download.

ROG Strix Flare - Support (asus.com)

Once uninstalled, install Armoury Crate version 3.2.9.1 which is the first download.

Then go to the Armoury Crate update center and try updating your ROG Strix Flare.

How does this go?

Ok, this is not good.

I don't want to suggest it, but the only way around this (that I know of) is to reinstall windows.

I'll be honest, I don't know how to do that so I think I'll just deal with the default RGB. Thanks for the responses.

You're welcome.

If you'd like help reinstalling windows, I'd be happy to help you with it. You'll just need to know your microsoft account user name and password, or you can create a new account.

Do you have your windows product key?

Would that delete everything installed on my computer? I now cannot even launch Armoury Crate either. I think I'll just leave it the way it is to be honest, I don't want to mess more things up.

Yes, reinstalling windows will erase all your programs and drivers. You'd be basically starting like a brand new pc.
