Originally, I am very eager to any updates: Windows, Asus updates, Nvidia updates, etc. I always look forward for new features and don't mind beta-versions with the possibility of some bugs.
But now I am absolutely furious, what this new update 6.1.13.0 has done with my laptop!
I have ROG Flow x16 with GeForce 4070 and I was quite used to the previous interface, which wasn't bad at all, and the main screen was customizable, so that i can choose whatever I need in two actions: dedicated button and one click. Now it's some insane journey, and the main screen shows some useless info. But this is not even the tip of the iceberg!!! The opening of the app starts with Service Error, I click continue and it loads a little less then forever! This happens btw every time I navigate through the app.
About what I'm raging the most is that I completely lost control of my laptop and cannot understand what is happening and why. It can now turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity, though I know it's set for 30 minutes even for battery. I heats like hello on silence mode without any load at all, just for no reason. Of course, now I don't understand my battery settings at all, if it would be enough for me until I connect to charger. When I turn on eco mode, after a while it gives me notification, that some apps are still using dGPU, opens an app and it turns out THIS is the app that uses dGPU!!! My latest frustration was disappearance of GPU mode, in GPU performance tab - it just appears and disappears randomly - I feel being gaslighted...
As this is my main and only laptop, which I use for all work, study, videos and gaming, after less than two weeks of this update I feel like I got myself some mental issues...
So, I had to write it here, just to see if I'm not alone.
Does anyone know how to downgrade the version? I' not even sure, if anyone from ROG knows it's such ******, I can't find any feedback forms or anything. So, I doubt they'll fix it soon. Another option is to find some other app, would appreciate advices.
Good luck, community! Shame on you, ROG team!
