Hello. Few days ago i bought notebook Asus G732-LXS, and everything was fine. In armoury crate was everything working. But 3 days ago, my BIOS updated and now, armoury crate is not working as it shoud. After opening the Armoury crate, there is a long loading of all stats, and then, when it finally loads, it is not showing CPU temperature. Before BIOS update it showed everything correctly.

My laptop ROG Strix G (G531GT) also has same problem, but I never update BIOS since year 2019 (No BIOS update released for these years). 307 is the latest BIOS version for G513GT. However, the SMART mode for AURA SYNC is not working too. So, I think this is the ARMOURY CRATE software issue.

Dear all,
Please kindly go to below link to download "Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool",extract the file and run the tool.
Follow the instruction and must reboot the device.
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/Armoury%20Crate/HelpDesk_Download/

Then go to the support website of your model
https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-scar-17-series/helpdesk_download
https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-scar-15-series/helpdesk_download
https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-g15-series/helpdesk_download
to reinstall "all Intel driver" listed there.

Then go back to below link, download Armoury Crate & AURA Creator Installer
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/Armoury%20Crate/HelpDesk_Download/
Run the installer and must reboot as instructed by the tool.

Let me know if there is any problem during the process and the result.
Thank you.

I decided to reinstall Armoury Crate.

  • Downloaded Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool V1.1.2.0.
  • Launched it.
  • The first attempt failed (https://i.imgur.com/ddV1pp6.png).
  • Rebooted my laptop, tried again - uninstallation was successful (https://i.imgur.com/Z9THomj.png)
  • Rebooted my laptop again.
  • Downloaded ArmouryCrateInstallTool.zip. Run it. No luck. The installation freezes at https://i.imgur.com/NuTEKVG.png and after 15-20 minutes the following error is displayed (https://i.imgur.com/PUraGBi.png).
  • Restarting and reinstalling does not solve the problem (https://i.imgur.com/fAKQGsc.png + disabled Windows Defender and checked the firewall rules, no rules blocking access).

Reinstalling the drivers is not an option for me. My laptop has the latest drivers installed from Intel's site and I have more recent drivers installed than those on the Asus site

Hello Olexander,
Please go to setting>apps and check if there is any Armoury Crate related app left.
You may further try program like Geek uninstall to make sure that the uninstallation went successfully and completely.
Then you may try to run the installer again.
Thank you.

I have a ROG Strix G17 (G712LU), AC version 4.1.6.0
Still no cpu temp 😞

Same. I don't think they'll ever fix it.

I reinstalled Armoury Crate and finally am seeing the CPU temps in Armoury Crate

However, if you know, reinstalling Armoury Crate is not very streamlined as easy as it should be. There is a bug in the installer which makes it just stop at "Installing components for the Connected Devices" if you choose to install both AC and AURA Creator (also AC... well)
So I tried a lot of stuff, and here is what worked no problems/hacky methods using just the provided uninstaller and installer tool https://www.asus.com/supportonly/Armoury%20Crate/HelpDesk_Download/

Steps:
1. Uninstall Armoury Crate using the uninstall tool
2. Restart to fully apply changes
3. Open the Install Utility, and instead of selecting 'Both Armoury Crate and AURA Creator', choose to install only AURA Creator.
4. Installation will complete quickly -> Restart to fully apply changes
5. Confirm that AURA Creator is working fine (you can update the aura creator related stuff from the three dots menu inside it)
6. Open the Install Utility and now choose to install only Armoury Crate.
7. This should work, will take some tie. It would look like it gets stuck at "Installing components for the Connected Devices" but it will not be stuck this time, will be completed.
8. Restart to apply changes
9. 🙂 done

It doesn't work for me. Everything uninstalls perfectly. Rebooting. When installing (no matter which of the options I choose, I tried all the three) at the stage "Installing components for the connected devices" there is an error "Installation failed. Please restart the system and check the Internet connection status before retrying.100", and it is not possible to install either Armoury Crate or Aura. Exactly the same problem occurred six months ago. I wasn't able to solve it then and now. In any case, I am more than 100% sure that I have no problems with either network connection or firewall.
