Faulting application AacAmbientLighting.exe and Armoury Crate v5.7.9

I am a long time Asus lover, but my patience is severely being tested with Armoury Crate - after issues with earlier versions of Armoury Crate there was a period of stability, and with the latest version of Armoury Crate (v5.7.9.0) I am now getting intermittent crashes with the AacAmbientLighting.exe component on a Z13.

Asus - please bug test your applications!!!!!!!!!!! and better still - ASK users before updating their version of the application!!!!!

My setup:

ROG STRIX X370-I + Ryzen 7 5700X + nVIDIA RTX4070 and Windows 11 Pro 64 bits full updated.

Enabled: Core isolation, TPM, UEFI Boot, Secure Boot, HVCI, BitLocker and ransomware protection on. 

I guess you have an Intel processor.

Mmm it seems an AMD processor related problem.

I've updated with all those components that you showed in the pic with no errors except the infamous ASUS WDL HAL version 3.2.0.0. 

Installing ASUS WDL HAL version 3.2.0.0 the system works fine and the AC too but with spamming error messages in Event Viewer

It sounds frustrating dealing with the crashes from Armoury Crate's latest version. I understand the annoyance when software doesn't work smoothly, especially after a period of stability. Have you considered reaching out to Asus directly to report these issues? They might appreciate your feedback as a long-time user. On a lighter note, have you tried exploring other software options like Spotify mod for PC? It could be a nice distraction while waiting for Armoury Crate's bugs to be sorted out....Well Said!

After a CLEAN UNINSTALLATION using ACuninstall tool, booting and trying to reinstall until three times (i insist, always after a clean uninstallation-reboot following this thread ops advice)  the following : "AC full Instalation package (4 Gb offline first the 1.2.4.0 version and the last 1.3.3.1 version)" and "ArmouryCrateInstallTool (2 Mb v3.2.9.1)" i always got the same error ...

Well, I have SOLVED this problem. The "AacAmbientLighting.exe" installation package seems to be FAULTY when installing (and from "factory" since Nov 2023 😡😡).

FOLLOW Steps A) B) and C) for SOLVING IT:

A) Open Powershell (in administrator mode) and type this: 

Get-AppxPackage -Name ASUSAmbientHAL64*

B) Get the "PackageFamilyName" value in A) and Remove the Package typing:

Remove-AppxPackage -Package ASUSAmbientHAL64_<Version Full package name>

In my case: Remove -AppxPackage -Package ASUSAmbientHAL64_1.0.0.2_neutral_gsg7p0crx7n6a

C) Reboot

DON'T WORRY REMOVING THIS FAULTY PACKAGE, NOW MY ARMOURY CRATE IS FULLY UPDATED and WORKING PERFECT!!! with zero errors in event viewer.

For all who followed my posts in this thread will remember how i have avoid until today the spamming error in Windows Event Viewer without installing ASUS WDL HAL (installing the offline 4Gb 1.2.4.0 package and no updating it for not installing the ASUS WDL HAL).

But now recently the offline 4Gb package installer 1.2.4.0 cannot be installed in Windows 11 Pro 64 bits due to windows June 24 latest updates. Nevertheless, the offline package latest version 1.3.3.1 and the AcInstallTool can be installed fine but both installing automatically the nefarious ASUS WDL HAL (which is defective from Nov 2023 version 2.3.0.0 included) and its each second spamming Event Viewer error "ASUSAmbientHAL64_1.0.0.2_neutral_gsg7p0crx7n6a".

I HAVE SOLVED A PROBLEM FROM NOV 2023 LONG DEFINITELY!!!
