Hey 👋
I configured the fans on my CROSSHAIR X870E EXTREME in the BIOS using Q-FAN. After starting Windows and Armoury Crate, Fan XPERT 4 seems to take over, even though the "Assistant" module (which also contains FAN XPERT 4) isn't installed in Armoury Crate. I've linked the fan speed in Q-FAN to the water temperature (T_SENSOR) of my custom loop. As soon as Armoury Crate starts and FAN XPERT 4 mistakenly takes over, the fans seem to react to the CPU temperature (e.g., when starting Minecraft, the fans spin up). If I install the Assistant module and thus FAN XPERT 4 and then explicitly disable FAN XPERT 4, the problem disappears. This appears to be a bug in Armoury Crate 6.3.4.0, causing FAN XPERT 4 to be enabled by default in the background, even though the module isn't installed. This was on a fresh Windows installation with a freshly downloaded Armoury Crate version from the ASUS website. Could the ASUS team take a look at the problem?
