Crate V5.2.12.0 and MZ690E Shutdown Effect

This new version 5.2.12.0 does not allow me to change the shutdown effect on my MZ690E. I can even disable the shutdown effect but it still defaults automatically to the rainbow effect. Changing to static or any other effect is futile. Defaults every time to rainbow. …and I did uninstall and reinstall the application. Didn’t help.

Resolved via remote debug

I guess it is something general cause my x470-f gaming has the same behaviour since the update. If I shutdown effect to off, it will just default to rainbow after 2 shutdowns on my case (maybe windows fast boot as something to do with it idk, I'll try to dissable it)

So windows quick start/fast boot was not it.

Yesterday I had 3 sessions without the shutdown effect reseting but as soon as I open Armoury crate during my last session, the motherboard shutdown effect was back to rainbow default.

So it's maybe not the same issue as @Hopper64 but it looks kinda related?

Mine has had the same behavior all day. Tried to change settings just to see what would happen and no change. Still defaults to the rainbow effect.

Another user mentioned that the new version resolved his shutdown effect issue on his Maximus Z690 Hero, and therefore this should not apply to everyone. I'll have our guys try to replicate.

Thanks. I didn’t have this problem until I started using the new crate version just released. Â*

Perhaps related to power? Shutting down the system completely causes it to reset. A simple reboot likely doesn’t.

Im just turn off the Shut Down effect. The Shutdown Effect cause my system random freeze when idle. i think the shutdown is conflict with aura sync and cause the system freeze. Rog Strix B550 F

Click the reset button in each menu where a reset radio button is available. This seems to fix the same issue for me.

I'm trying your fix, but I also have this so I can't tell you if it worked yet:
