A new Armoury Crate major release is now available. This is the official thread to report issues.

Please Read First:

Uninstall legacy Aura Sync software if already installed.
Always uninstall Armoury Crate using our uninstall tool (DO NOT remove or delete manually) - now included in the standard installer (right-click on icon in Windows Start Menu)

Armoury Crate MUST run from Admin account, and NOT Standard account under Windows.

DO NOT delete files manually after uninstalling Armoury Crate
DO NOT modify the registry
Try to perform a power cycle to resolve lighting issues (shutdown and unplug power supply for at 30 seconds)
Forms MUST be completed and submitted in order to be processed.
Forms from non-forum members will NOT be processed
Must post a brief description in this thread (do this before filling in a form) to receive status updates.

Must read before reporting issues:

1. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR GENERAL CHAT, please report issues ONLY (try to find related threads or create a new one)
2. Try to reboot the system after updates are installed, and check again.
3. DO NOT report issues if facing improper uninstallation or registry issues - please resolve first
4. Revert system to stock speeds to check if errors are caused by excessive overclocking (even if overclock was stable previously)
5. Verify and confirm issues before reporting (do not make multiple posts while still in the process of troubleshooting)
6. Post a brief description of your issue in this thread (less than 50 words)
7. Record and generate a log (change the extension from .LogE to .txt). Prepare some screenshots and photos if applicable.
8. Complete the online Google form: Click HERE  to submit a form. Upload log file to your cloud service if too large then provide the link.
9. Save the link to the form in case you need to revise or upload additional files (do not submit multiple forms for the same issue).

10. Log in to the ROG Forum regularly and check your inbox in case there are updates for your case or more info is requested.

How to record a log

First, check the Record log box to start recording (Setting/About/App diagnostics)
Agree to the disclaimer
Replicate the issue you are having (reboot if necessary - the log tool will keep running)
Click on the Generate log data button
Save the log file to a location of your choice. (Avoid locations synced to OneDrive)
Stop the recording
Remember to upload this log file to the Google Form (change file extension to .txt first)

Same issue! Yesterday was completely gone for the whole day but today came back...

I tried uninstalling and re-installing AC but it didn't work. Please fix it already, it's been 3 weeks!

The issue is the same, but my Auto Tuning settings haven't reset for a few days now. However, I'm not entirely sure if it's fully fixed. I put my new Log as a Log_20240820. 

I have a new issue on top of my previous one. Even if I set the settings in Fan Expert, it randomly locks the fan speed. Even though my CPU temperature is 56°C, it’s running the fan as if it's at 39°C.

disable ai fan and restar the pc. that will push more on silent.

Hello. For some unknown reason, my fan settings are resetting themselves. It doesn't happen all the time, but you never know when it will happen. I'm not too lazy to reprogram my fan profile, but I just want to know the source of this problem. Thanks.

Hello. I don't remember what the old version number was, but I installed the latest version I could find and there is no problem for now. The currently installed version is 3.03.36

Please read email from Corsair below: They say something is up with your Armory Crate update??

All I want is the motherboard to be displayed in iCUE! so that I can manage on 1 app iCUE  rather than 2 aps

Also the AUDIO lighting need to apps running ! more overhead ! silly! ASUS and Corsair need to work together to resolve this issue!!

Yes, I did read your initial email! The troubleshooting steps I'm providing are meant to work in a general direction to resolve the 3 main issues you outlined in your initial message. Just to assure you, I acknowledge that you're having issues with the GIF on your LCD appearing, with your motherboard and GPU appearing in iCUE like they once did before and with iCUE not opening immediately/crashing unless the exe is run multiple times.
 
As for what I found in the files you provided, I mainly checked for potential conflicting software. I do see that you have Armoury Crate installed. A relatively recent update to Amoury Crate has caused issues with ASUS products integrating with other software. I'd suggest reaching out to ASUS directly about that.
 
I'll address your concerns to avoid the same confusion/misunderstanding below:
 
  1. I have now lost my GIF animation for the H170i -  Is there a way to get this back?
You can try uninstalling Armoury Crate (at least temporarily) to see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't have any effect, here are a few other programs you have that may be interfering with your LCD:
RGB Fusion
Alienware Command Center Suite
Razer Cortex
Reallusion Hub
CPUID ROG CPU-Z 2.01
AniMe Matrix MB EN
Aura Wallpaper
 
2. Icue it is not showing my asus rog strix z690-a gaming wifi motherboard in  iCUE anymore??  with or without plugins
As mentioned above, I've seen this be a reoccurring issue due to a relatively recent Armoury Crate update. I'd recommend reaching out to ASUS directly.

So basically I want to be able to manage all my lighting with AUDIO enabled a from 1 location! 

But if Asus and Corsiar can't sort this out that's terrible! 

In any event if I have to run 2 apps iCUE and Armoury Crate Then ok! Just work well running on windows 11 together at the minimum??  This is a nightmare!  

So at the minimum please fix the event log error that I have attached to the post!   PLEASE DO NOT PASS the BUCK back to Corsair!  I will not have both the BIG boys support teams playing hell with me!

Can you please fix my issue above?   Please get in touch with Corsair iCUE dev team as they say that you manage the Motherboard iCUE Dashboard  side of iCUE.

For Windows 11, when everything is updated to the latest version, fan expert once in a while offers to update, although there are no updates for it.

Fan expert started to control fans incorrectly, because of this the computer overheats and games close down by themselves.

After uninstalling Armoury Crate everything works fine when BIOS controls the fans.

Every update of Armoury Crate brings surprises. Reinstalling Armoury Crate via proprietary utilities does not help.

Armoury Crate uninstall tool does not remove services, to get rid of fan control problems, you need to manually stop all services from ASUS delete ASUS utilities folder and remove autorun services from the register. You could add all this to uninstall tool.

Everyone who has problems with games with Armoury Crate + Windows 11 needs to remove all utilities from ASUS.
