A new Armoury Crate major release is now available. This is the official thread to report issues.
Please Read First:
Uninstall legacy Aura Sync software if already installed.
Always uninstall Armoury Crate using our uninstall tool (DO NOT remove or delete manually) - now included in the standard installer (right-click on icon in Windows Start Menu)
Armoury Crate MUST run from Admin account, and NOT Standard account under Windows.
DO NOT delete files manually after uninstalling Armoury Crate
DO NOT modify the registry
Try to perform a power cycle to resolve lighting issues (shutdown and unplug power supply for at 30 seconds)
Forms MUST be completed and submitted in order to be processed.
Forms from non-forum members will NOT be processed
Must post a brief description in this thread (do this before filling in a form) to receive status updates.

Must read before reporting issues:
1. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR GENERAL CHAT, please report issues ONLY (try to find related threads or create a new one)
2. Try to reboot the system after updates are installed, and check again.
3. DO NOT report issues if facing improper uninstallation or registry issues - please resolve first
4. Revert system to stock speeds to check if errors are caused by excessive overclocking (even if overclock was stable previously)
5. Verify and confirm issues before reporting (do not make multiple posts while still in the process of troubleshooting)
6. Post a brief description of your issue in this thread (less than 50 words)
7. Record and generate a log (change the extension from .LogE to .txt). Prepare some screenshots and photos if applicable.
8. Complete the online Google form: Click HERE to submit a form. Upload log file to your cloud service if too large then provide the link.
9. Save the link to the form in case you need to revise or upload additional files (do not submit multiple forms for the same issue).
10. Log in to the ROG Forum regularly and check your inbox in case there are updates for your case or more info is requested.

How to record a log
First, check the Record log box to start recording (Setting/About/App diagnostics)
Agree to the disclaimer
Replicate the issue you are having (reboot if necessary - the log tool will keep running)
Click on the Generate log data button
Save the log file to a location of your choice. (Avoid locations synced to OneDrive)
Stop the recording
Remember to upload this log file to the Google Form (change file extension to .txt first)

I'm seeing the same problem as with an earlier version occurring (https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/armoury-crate/armoury-crate-v5-8-9-0-aura-creator-v3-8-6-report-here-i...), i.e. launching updates of items but they all seem to fail installing with an exclamation point. Thought that was fixed 😭

LightingService (ASUS AURA SYNC lighting service) causes a MAJOR RAM usage creep. This happens only, if the SMART effects are used in Armoury Crate or are used in AURA Creator. Started with an update somewhere in June 2024. At first it caused the PC to freeze up and crash, as the WMI RAM usage was over 20 (!!!!) GB. Please deal with the problem already, this is unacceptable for a 4k euro device.

I have the problem I want to say since several previous versions of the Armory Crate program and it still persists. I reported it once but it was never fixed. In fact, every time I turn on my computer or even wake it up, even though the selected mode is dark mode, part of the lights of my cooling system, which is connected to the Asus motherboard and is controlled through the Armory Crate program, turn to color It turns purple. This problem is very annoying and every time I turn on the system or wake up from sleep, I have to run the Armory Crate software, change the dark mode to any of the other modes, and then select the dark mode again. To solve the problem, I have to do this repeated operation every time. My cooling model is deep cool ls720. Please solve this problem once and for all.

I have istalled armoury creator from the full install file on the fresh windows 10 installation. I need only the control of the fan & control the led of the modtherboard & this working fine but after the firrst update check & the first update cycle ask me again to update the app. I press the button update all & the progress bar for download & update for every single voice showing download complete an the update but at the end armoury credate ask me te update all again in the same voice's update before

Hi, you mentioned downloading Fan Xpert HTML v4.02.04, but I couldn't find it, if you have a link where I can download it, I would appreciate it. Just to clarify, my issue is that every time I restart my computer, the changes I made in Fan Xpert revert back to default.

Hi have installed Armoury crate from full installation file but when i'm try to select fan expert or mobo for modiify somthing Armoury crate ask me to check the presence for update or install update & when i'm try to instal update Armoury crate download & install the update but after recheck again, propose me again the download and install update it's like a dog eating its own tail. I think something goes wrong in armoury crate

I have download the full installation file from here https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/ this is Version 5.8.6 but after the first update switch to 5.9.4.0

I honestly have no idea what to do. I've formatted my computer, and I can't even remember how many times I've installed and uninstalled Armory Crate from scratch, but this Fan Expert issue just won't get resolved.
They are telling me to install a specific version, but they aren't helping with where to get it from. Is it really that hard to fix this issue with a new update? It's been going on for years.

Alternatively, you can go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find ROG FAN XPERT 4 and see the version.

again, it is not installed, it is not displayed under Installed apps in the Windows settings, nor in Armoury Crate...
