A new Armoury Crate major release is now available. This is the official thread to report issues.

Please Read First:

Uninstall legacy Aura Sync software if already installed.
Always uninstall Armoury Crate using our uninstall tool (do not remove manually) - now included in the standard installer (right-click on icon in Windows Start Menu)

DO NOT delete files manually after uninstalling Armoury Crate
DO NOT modify the registry
Try to perform a power cycle to resolve lighting issues (shutdown and unplug power supply for at least 60 seconds)
Forms MUST be completed and submitted in order to be processed.
Forms from non-forum members will NOT be processed
Must post a brief description in this thread (do this before filling in a form) to receive status updates.

Must read before reporting issues:

1. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR GENERAL CHAT, please report issues ONLY (try to find related threads or create a new one)
2. Try to reboot the system after updates are installed, and check again.
3. DO NOT report issues if facing improper uninstallation or registry issues - please resolve first
4. Revert system to stock speeds to check if errors are caused by excessive overclocking (even if overclock was stable previously)
5. Verify and confirm issues before reporting (do not make multiple posts while still in the process of troubleshooting)
6. Post a brief description of your issue in this thread (less than 50 words)
7. Record and generate a log (change the extension from .LogE to .txt). Prepare some screenshots and photos if applicable.
8. Complete the online Google form: Click HERE to submit a form
9. Save the link to the form in case you need to revise or upload additional files (do not submit multiple form for the same issue).

First, check the Record log box to start recording (Setting/About/App diagnostics)
Agree to the disclaimer
Replicate the issue you are having (reboot if necessary - the log tool will keep running)
Click on the Generate log data button
Save the log file to a location of your choice. (Avoid locations synced to OneDrive)
Stop the recording
Remember to upload this log file to the Google Form (change file extension to .txt first)

Armory Create - LightingService.exe LightingService (32 bit) Large CPU usage

I have g skill RAM with backlight, but there was no such load on the processor! The Rainbow mode was always on. Recently, the 11600k processor started to load by 10 percent due to the Lighting Service. So this is a bug in the software

You claim:

"The problem is inherent, to set the colors on DIMM memory sticks is only possible via SPD programming afaik, and that is CPU intensive."

But this is absolutely not the case! Since I installed the Trident Z lighting control software and it doesn't load the CPU!
With any backlight mode! We come to the conclusion that Asus programmers will bring the software to mind!


If you enable synchronization of the RAM backlight in Armory Create, the CPU load will increase significantly! This has never happened before.


Fix this error already, you have been writing about it since 2020

Nice but now the armoury crate v5.6.10.0 has messed up so i can't adjust fan speed, armoury crate is the worst ever from asus and it runs ALOT of useless frameworks.

Black screen problem when I click on my devices

ASUS ROG Strix Scope ii 96 defaults to static lighting, blue colour, when connected via USB cable. Can't change mode on keyboard, or via software. 2.4ghz and Bluetooth modes function as normal.

Update - Microsoft Windows Dynamic Lighting is definitely the culprit on my system. I have turned off the toggle switch for 'Use dynamic lighting on my devices' and under the bottom section Effects, 'Match my Windows accent colour'.

The Microsoft website claims compatibility with the keyboard as:

Everything is working fine here too after disabling dynamic lighting

GameVisual overrides Intel Graphics Command Center color profiles and brightness enhancement every time at OS startup.

Please add an option to toggle off GameVisual completely as it overrides integrated Intel Xe driver brightness and color enhancements.

Armoury crate not detecting devices

I have followed all the solutions stated on the thread for the same issue but none of those troubleshooting steps worked for me. I would appreciate if anyone could help me in reference to this concern.

is anybody here that have Aura Creator working on Asus ROG Strix II Scar (GL504GV or GL704GV)? I have ROG Strix II Hero G515GV and I cannot manage to make Aura Creator working. Aura Sync see my keyboard but when I open Aura Creator it says that I don't have compatible devices. My G515GV is detected as GL504GV (same motherboard). Can anybody help?


I have a Rog strix G17 (2023) model G713PV, after the Bios 319 update and the Armory Crate update, at first my keyboard only started working again after about 10 minutes that the laptop was on, before that time nothing worked, no lighting or keys, with a few more bios and software updates the keyboard simply no longer works, it's not even recognized, it's dead. I haven't had a keyboard for 3 months now, as I live in Brazil and bought it in the USA, I can't find a solution. I've done everything, even restoring the system from scratch. The only thing I didn't do was revert to the previous 3 bios, as I'm worried about killing the laptop. Anyone with a solution?
