Computer specs :
ROG Zenith Extreme ii Alpha, with latest bios update, this error appears before and after the bios update, included a lot of windows reinstalls, trying all kind of mix, to remove potentially any driver issue, disk, gpu, etc.. without any luck to find the problem.

Just making DEV aware of this issue, or if anyone else faced this problem! Share!


Ok, after a lot of reinstalling of windows , and a step by step installation of drivers/software and all that comes along with new install, i found the CULPRIT of a lot of problems related to the Armory Crate for my MB : ROG Zenith Extreme ii Alpha, and relation to my earlier post : "The instruction 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. the memory could not be written."

WINDOWS User Access Control ( UAC ) was the problem if disabled :
Disable User Account Control
Disable UAC File Virtualization Driver

So if i disable UAC account and virtualization driver, i get the error in Armory Crate if download drivers, or software, and if i Enable , Aromory crate works just fine both for drivers and software, and also, runs much faster to switch tabs etc than before.

And Admin, i also did as you suggested checked all memory related tests, and found no errors.
Hope this helps some one " turn on : UAC and UAC file virtualization driver." in Windows. ( That is if you have from start of windows clean installation had UAC ON all the time, and in the process of installation and tweaking turning it off, i have not tried having UAC / Driver OFF prior to installing Armory Crate.

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Try performing a System Recovery on your laptop then install Armoury Crate.

Machine model - Asus Strix Scar 15 2020 Editon - G532LW

OS - Windows 10 (version 21H2 - OS Build 19044.1766 )

My GameVisual is suddenly stopped working after the latest Armoury Crate update to 5.1.5.0. Before this, it worked perfectly fine.

I put my computer to sleep at the end of each day, instead of shutting it down, because it takes 5 minutes to fully boot (and I am not sure why). Either way, shutting the computer down or putting the computer to sleep, the result of getting a script error for the ROG Theta 7.1 is the same. I have to uncheck the box for the ROG Theta 7.1 in the Aura Sync tab, and then recheck the box for the ROG Theta 7.1 for them to follow the Aura Sync color and pattern that I have set up. Upon unchecking the box and rechecking it, I receive a 'Script Error' (photo is posted with this post).

Also, I use two 2080 TI O11G GPUs in SLI. More often than not, the bottom GPU will not follow the Aura Sync pattern, and unchecking the box and rechecking the box for the 2080 TI in the Aura Sync tab will not correct the issue.

Is Armoury Crate supposed to show both of my GPUs separately? If they are supposed to be shown separately, they are not showing up separately.

Kaspersky released a fix, please reboot and try again.

Hello,

After the last update of Armoury crate the program seems to not be able to detect the motherboard.
Therefor I can not turn off the lights or change them at all. Also temperature info and fan control are not working.
I tried to install the program to both windows 10 and 11 but the issue is the same.

Please let me know if I can provide more logs for the faster resolution of that issue.

Armoury Crate not detecting ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI either after the update. I've tried reinstalling 3 times without success.
It list the motherboard at the top of the Dashboard but there's no connection to any sensors or fans and it s not showing under Aura Sync or the device tab.
Its astounding that ASUS released this update when this is happening across multiple motherboards. Do they do any testing at all?

Kaspersky released a fix, please updated, reboot, and try again

Armoury and Aura Creator were working perfectly until this last update.
Suddenly my RGB's went rainbow and I noticed Armoury and Aura were updated without asking.
Now neither of them recognize my motherboard (B460M PRO Wifi).

Reinstalled both multiple times with the Armoury Crate Removal Tool, no success.
Even tried restoring windows to previous point, which initially made Armoury recognize the board, but not Aura. Few minutes after, Armoury updated and is now stuck again.

Seeing something similar here on an ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING with a ROG-STRIX-RTX2080.
On mine, it appears to a conflict with Kaspersky Anti-Virus

If I don't have Kaspersky installed yet (was reinstalling Windows 11 Pro), Aura Sync (within Armory Crate) successfully detected my motherboard, case LEDS and video card. Once I have Kaspersky installed. My motherboard and case vanish from "Sync devices" and I can no longer control the lighting.

Have tried a few exclusions in the AV program, but no luck so far.

Strange thing. I also have Kaspersky AV.
For me it was working pretty fine until like three days ago. Shutdown as always and the other day... not detected.
I've been using Kaspersky for years and never had any related issues.
