Hi.
I had to uninstall the program (with the appropriate tool) and reinstall it several times as after the last update it was no longer possible to control the LEDs.
Now the leds work (hardly), but I can't update "GameSDK Service -> Device SDK (v 1.0.0.4)". I also reinstalled several times again, but each time I get the following error: "Sorry, the installation could not be completed. Please reboot and try again (error 16)".

My mobo is X570-E Gaming (bios 4021, the last STABLE version available nowadays)
My vga is RTX 3080 TUF (bios v5)

Some idea?

Thanks so much.

Yeah, forget all that over complicated stuff which doesn't work man.

Just run the uninstall tool from Asus ROG website and or run revouninstaller: https://www.revouninstaller.com/nl/revo-uninstaller-free-download/

That will get rid of the ROG crap that has left on the system. I had to do an fresh Windows install in order to get rid of all the ROG crap that was installed so deeply in the system..

You can do fresh install of Windows without losing your data if you want, info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrxPQc15bnY&list=LL&index=7&ab_channel=Britec09

Good luck and let me know if that worked.

Weren't you in a world of hurt with Armoury Crate a few days ago? Now you are an expert I see.

I have issues with the fan profiles. When i select Turbo, it applies correctly and fans start spinning, but whenever i restart the computer, the CPU fans are set back to Silent or even completely off, because they never spin, even during high load.

For what do you have armory crate installed if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Youda, if you post more info about your system specs it might be helpful. Maybe some other Asus utility software could be involved or needs to be installed, just a guess.

This software is extremely buggy and after i uninstalled it my PC works much better. I just want to learn people how to completely uninstall this crap from their PC and or tell them not to install it in the first place.

Do you work for Assus ROG? If not, why are you defending them?

You are absolutely right, Asus makes good products in terms of hardware, but it is a disaster in terms of software. I'm thinking of deleting the Armory crate and not installing it.

Ye man, i like everything about ROG except their software lol. Its THE worst in the world.

Use the method i mentioned before and if that didn't help try clean install to get rid of EVERYTHING.

Speaking as someone who has some knowledge of software development, and therefore an appreciation for the massive scope of the Armoury Crate project to work with practically every device Asus makes, your assumptions are a bit harsh. It is always the responsibility of the software producer/hardware producer to deliver something that works, and I think Asus has bit off too big a piece with Armoury Crate with their limited resources. On the other hand, all their software for my system works. AI Suite III, GPU Tweak II and Armoury Crate. In fact, it is all working almost flawlessly right now. It took a lot of effort to get it there and perhaps the win 11 upgrade helped too.

The funny thing to me about your diatribes, is that I have been building pcs since 1989 IIRC, and I have never seen motherboard utility software from any manufacturer that was without flaws including glaring flaws. So I don't really get where folks get the idea that one is clearly worse than another, Bunk. Also, you seem to discount the whole microsoft part of the equation. I think I remember you saying how hard it was to imagine that so many windows systems could have a problem. That is a funny joke to me. Its rare for me to see one that doesn't have a problem, lol.
