A new major update is being rolled out. There are several improvement and new features, many of the issues reported have also been fixed.

Suggest to uninstall Aura Sync software if already installed.

To update to the latest version of Armoury Crate, reboot and the update will run in the background automatically (do not open Armoury Crate for 10-15 minutes, and plug in the power for notebooks).

Before reporting issues, please make sure you have the latest software and firmware.
Be clear about the key issue. Mark/edit posts which are no longer relevant, tracking multiple posts in several pages not only takes time but the issue becomes unclear.

First, check the Record log box to start recording
Agree to the disclaimer
Replicate the issue you are having
Click on the Generate log data button
Save the log file to a location of your choice.
Stop the recording

Even though the log file is encrypted, share the log file with me by PM (provide link to file in cloud).

Many issues have been posted previously, but a very small percentage of people have PM'd me their log. If in doubt, just send a log and remember to record first. If the issue is after shutdown: provide a log for before shutdown and one after (2 logs). Thanks everyone!

I am getting this as well and now getting kicked out of game. I bought ASUS products for their reputation. This is NOT what I expected!! Please fix Armoury, AI Suite 3 and any other problem that arises. The reputation level is dropping...

Again...

I figured out the fan issue with AI Suite 3... it was actually quite easy. I uninstalled it. Went into the UEFI and made the curve there for each fan. And enabled the AI Overclocking... because I'm lazy. Works like a charm now, and has not lost the fan settings.

Now, maybe the File Operator can be fixed... or do I uninstall Armoury Crate too?

Asus hasn't deployed an update yet to fix this issue

We can confirm this issue. It will be fixed in ROG Live Service v1.2.17.0 soon, the ETA for public release is 2-3 weeks.

The bug that I got from buying a laptop 1 year ago, for the ROG G512LI variant with an intel i5 processor, the rainbow 4 zone feature on the armory crate can't be used, but runs smoothly on the i7 variant

I ask for help for the next update this bug can be fixed, I really want a rainbow feature on my laptop

1. PC / Laptop: ROG GA15DH Desktop (3600x/2060s variant), BIOS updated to version 303.
2. Aura Sync products: Just the default prebuilt-case lighting.
3. 3rd-party peripheral, audio, or lighting software: None.
4. Wired / wireless connection: Wired.
5. Reinstalled Windows? Not yet, but probably will in the future if this seems to be an isolated issue.
6. Windows version & build: Windows 10 Pro (Version 21H1, OS Build 19043.1165).

Can't recall exactly, but the current software/firmwares of Armoury Crate (at the time) for this prebuilt from February/March worked, for sure. I noticed the issue this past week or so when I recently started using Armoury Crate again after almost never using it for the past few months.

tl;dr

From my experience, Armoury Crate's current compatibility with the GA15DH is a mess.

Its case lighting settings are getting permanently stuck and cannot be changed after reopening the app. Only after uninstalling and reinstalling Armoury Crate and its accompanying drivers will it allow me to change its lighting settings, only to get inevitably stuck once again. There are also a bunch of missing CPU/GPU stats and manual settings that were previously present.

There's the possibility that a recent Armoury Crate/device driver update messed up compatibility with this device-- but there's also the possibility that this is an isolated issue most likely caused by my idiocy.

I'm really hoping it's the former.

Slightly more in-depth

It seems like the lighting settings I applied during the first launch of Armoury Crate are being permanently stuck/applied. This could explain why I was only able to change just the Aura Sync lighting presets and not anything else, since I had Aura Sync enabled before closing the app/restarting/shutting down the pc. The case's brightness level, as well as the other 3 general settings (lighting for boot up, awake, and sleep), were all unable to be changed. Toggling the settings on/off did nothing.

I've also done a similar test, but this time after the first launch of Armoury Crate, disabling the boot up, awake, and sleep settings in the General Settings tab, as well as choosing a basic effect under the lighting tab (not Aura Sync) and setting its brightness to 0%. In other words, disabling all lighting. I ended up experiencing the same bug/problem where my previous settings (all lighting disabled, in this case) were being permanently applied, where I couldn't change the settings afterwards (closing the app/restarting/shutting down the pc). Even after toggling the boot up lighting setting back on, as well as setting some lighting effects up (Aura Sync, too), no lighting would appear during the boot after a full shutdown. My anti-rgb settings were stuck. As of writing this, they are currently stuck in this specific scenario, since I prefer having no rgb at all, most of the time.

The only way I found to revert to the first step (that being opening Armoury Crate for the first time) is to use the Armoury Crate uninstaller tool and to then install Armoury Crate again. That's the only chance I get to pick my settings before they inevitably, and permanently, get stuck again-- until the next uninstall/reinstall process, of course.

Another bug/issue I noticed was that the manual CPU/GPU settings (fan control, offsets, etc.) in the Home tab were unavailable (throughout my tests), that were previously available back when Armoury Crate was working well for me. Strangely, though, that only once out of the numerous tests I've done did just the GPU fan control option reappear. The offset settings and the others were still missing. The next reinstall it disappeared again. Also, just recently did the CPU temperature and voltage statistics stop working completely. They were more or less working during my tests.

At the time of writing this, the latest Armoury Crate version is 4.1.6.0, and the latest Device Kit driver for the GA15DH is 2.1.1.1, which was released on 2021/07/28. The recent HAL update (20210713) that was released on 2021/08/04, as far as I could tell, fixed nothing (in regards to the issues I'm facing).

I have been unable to install newer versions of the "Device Kit"s for my mother board, the Addressable LED Strip, and the Rog Strix Arion. When attempting to update, I the process seems to attempt for a short while, some console windows flash, and I'm given the error "Sorry, we cannot finish the file installation. Please restart the system and retry. (Error code: 1603)"
