To update to the latest version of Armoury Crate, reboot and the update will run in the background automatically (do not open Armoury Crate for 10-15 minutes, and plug in the power for notebooks).

Before reporting issues, please make sure you have the latest software and firmware.
Be clear about the key issue. Mark/edit posts which are no longer relevant, tracking multiple posts in several pages not only takes time but the issue becomes unclear.

Include the following info:
1. PC / Laptop
2. Aura Sync products
3. 3rd-party peripheral, audio, or lighting software
4. Wired / wireless connection
5. Reinstalled Windows?
6. Windows version & build
7. Previous version of firmware or software that worked as expected
8. Clear description of your issue
9. Any screenshots of the issue
10. Use our log collection function: Settings=>About=>App diagnostics
Please provide a log, it's much easier to provide fixes if we can replicate as accurately as possible.

Log Collection Tool - Instructions
First, check the Record log box to start recording
Agree to the disclaimer
Replicate the issue you are having
Click on the Generate log data button
Save the log file to a location of your choice.
Stop the recording

Even though the log file is encrypted, share the log file with me by PM (provide link to file in cloud).

Many issues have been posted previously, but a very small percentage of people have PM'd me their log. If in doubt, just send a log and remember to record first. If the issue is after shutdown: provide a log for before shutdown and one after (2 logs). Thanks everyone!

I reverted back to yesterday, before V4.1.6.0 was pushed to my system with System Restore. Everything seems to be in perfect working order again. To disable updates and make sure I'm not blindsided by this crap again (if I EVER want to update this software again, it'll be a manual installation, because ASUS obviously can't be trusted to properly test their products before releasing them to the public)

These are changes that I made to my system as a 20 year computer technician and computer network specialist, as these are changes that work for me, in my specific situation, with my specific hardware and software configuration. I'm merely sharing what has worked for me, but am by no means telling you to do the same. If you apply these settings to your system, you do so at your own risk.

─ Go to Search and type Task Scheduler
> Left panel: select Task Scheduler Library to expand the tree.
> Select ASUS (I've disabled a number of services and background tasks that aren't needed on my system)
• AcPowerNotification ─ this is for laptops and other mobile devices running Windows. I don't need this running on my desktop system.
• GpuFanHelper ─ this does nothing on my system, as my GPU is controlled by another crap piece of software called EVGA Precision X.
• NoiseCancelingEngine.exe ─ runs in the background making changes to my microphone settings, with no clear way to turn it off
• P508PowerAgent_sdk ─ this is for ASUS' P508 gaming mouse! I use a Logitech mouse! WHY IS IT RUNNING ON MY SYSTEM?!
• ASUSUpdateTaskMachineCore ─ disabled for obvious reasons.
• ASUSUpdateTaskMachineUA ─ again.. disabled.

─ Now close the Task Schedular, and then press Windows Key+R
> Type services.msc into the Run box
> You're looking for three services here to both Stop and Disable:
ASUS Update Service (asus)
ASUS Update Service (asusm)
ASUSUpdateCheck
> Right-click on each Service and select Properties
• Select Stop
• From the Startup Type drop-down, select Disabled

Wait, they took their software and added a bunch of bloat without fleshing out all the issues people have been having for a year or more, ever since this crappy software was released? Genius.

so i can't access to my Rog falchion page (all others motherboard works great but keyboard page no..) where i can see battery details, control my control, adds light etc.. pls fix this quickly.

i have x470F BIOS up to date, and latest armoury crate 4.1.6.0, win 10 64 bit and up to date.

i have ARGB fan controller for my fans. when i set aura effect in armoury crate (like rainbow) and then if i turn off LEDs manually by remote control of my fan controller, then in some games or programs some LEDs of my fans will turn on sometimes. note that in-game lighting effect option toggle is set to off.

is this a software problem or my fan controller problem?

After installing the update, the logo on my ROG STRIX Z490-A GAMING is permanently off. Uninstalled the Crate to no avail. Asus, why have you broken it?

I agree 100%. Who thought it would be a good idea to have yet another monitoring program, if asus felt they needed to do this. THEY SHOULD HAVE CREATED A SEPERATE PIECE OF STANDALONE SOFTWARE FOR MONITORING!

Everything is broken from me as well. I cant even open my Realtek console! And AC is 100% broken.

Also extremely frustrating is how AC is preventing the PC from going to sleep!
Every day AC keeps automatically unchecking the option in device manager to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
So their is NO way to use sleep or hibernate with this software installed.
This is a basic windows feature & this program should not still be affecting sleep!

I have a Z2E alpha and the cpu frequency is no longer an option to display on the live dash. It detects it in the new info screen though. Also the fan speeds are erratic and not accurate. For example it'll say my cpu opt has a fan speed of 25,000 rpms sporadically but there's no cpu opt fan connected... Of course none of this happens in the bios. I have the latest windows updates and MB bios installed.

Well I just installed the new version of AC that released today (V3.1.0.0) and rebooted my pc & here is the result.....smh

89038

The dreaded spinning circle into infinity. Good try um I guess?

The other 42 pieces of Armory crate bloatware open fine all except for the "device" header. It finds my Asus Maximus XIII Hero but then spins & spins & spins& spins & spins & spins & spins & spins & spins

EDIT:

Well I just noticed something else. I finally got my realtek audio console working after the last version of AC broke it & with todays update to version 3.1.0.0 my realtek audio console is broke again! Does same thing as Device menu in AC

89039

In addition to the other problems Armory Crate v3.1.0.0 is still preventing my computer from entering sleep. I have tried overriding with the following commands & allowing all devices to sleep & disabled all wake timers etc. but AC wont allow sleep no matter what....

C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -requestsoverride DRIVER ASUS Utility (ROOT\MEDIA\0000)
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -requestsoverride DRIVER Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -REQUESTSOVERRIDE DRIVER "Legacy Kernel Caller" SYSTEM

EDIT 2 6/20 9:40AM:
-----------------
I just used Armory Crate Uninstaller to rid my PC of this uh......software & set my PC to go to sleep in 3 minutes & BAM it went right to sleep
on its own! Something that has not happened the whole while I had Armory Crate installed, This is proof that AC is preventing the PC from going to sleep.
If you need any info/screenshots or help determining why this is happening feel free to ask.
