To update to the latest version of Armoury Crate, reboot and the update will run in the background automatically (do not open Armoury Crate for 10-15 minutes).

Before reporting issues, please make sure you have the latest software and firmware.
Be clear about the key issue. Mark/edit posts which are no longer relevant, tracking multiple posts in several pages not only takes time but the issue becomes unclear.

Include the following info:
1. PC / Laptop
2. Aura Sync products
3. 3rd-party peripheral, audio, or lighting software
4. Wired / wireless connection
5. Reinstalled Windows?
6. Windows version & build
7. Previous version of firmware or software that worked as expected
8. Clear description of your issue
9. Any screenshots of the issue
10. Use our new log collection function: Settings=>About=>App diagnostics

Replicate the issue you are having

Click on the Generate log data button

Save the log file to a location of your choice.

Stop the recording


Even though the log file is encrypted, share the log file with me by PM (provide link to file in cloud).

i uninstalled it then tried to downloed thew new one it took a longtime but it finaly downloaded and installed. my internet connection is 500 down and 500up

feedback from me:
I was installed version 2.7.8.0 in clean installation of windows and works fine. After update to 2.7.13.0 Armoury Crate didn't recognized any of my components (probably didn't recognize motherboard) and didn't work. After update to 3.0.4.0 situation was same it didn't recognized my components. I tried everything uninstall all Armoury Crate programs, delete ASUS folders in ProgramData and Program Files install it again but without success. So yesterday i make clean installation of Windows and Armoury Crate installed automatically when connect to internet and now work fine.

But PLEASE ASUS make something i cannot make clean installation of Windows after each Armoury Crate update!!!

Me too. I have a telco with the Asus 3rd Level Support concerning this issue. I will give an Update maybe a workaround later.

Finally I had my call with the 3rd level support and all of you don‘t like what they have Said.
*There was/ is a Big issue in armoury crate 2.7.13 or a component Update 3 weeks ago.
This Update destroyes the Aura Sync Environment ( Asus Is still Not clear How in detail) *between Windows and the devices.

If you have skiped that Update you are Safe with Version *3.0.4. *But if you have installed this ****, you Need To Perform a cmos reset and a clean windows install, because the update causes a kernel.dll error.

*Maybe Asus will find the exact file or Part and fix this with a later Update or a real uninstaller. Until that Point there is No other Solution.

Asus can bite me if they think I'm doing a reinstall. That involves 100's of GB of downloads and HOURS of reinstalling and configuring a TON of Microsoft Flightsim X addons not to mention all the other stuff on the PC. Not happening. I blew through like 400GB of data in 3 days last year when I built this system so unless they're going to pay for my data overage with XFinity they just need to get their heads out of their ***'s and figure out how to fix it. The only Asus part even in my system is the mobo, I knew I should have gone over to Gigabyte.

If you make a clone backup of windows drive you bassicly never have to anymore if you play it safe, i have compiled ipxe bootloader on my nas with clonezilla backup going straight to my nas, life became so much easy'r since then.

I do have O&O's diskimage software, unfortunately I don't use it regularly like for stuff like minor software updates, so it's kinda useless at this point. I usually save it for stuff like big Windows Update stuff.

Since Asus updated the Armory Crate the Aura lighting service is consuming more power.
It is now medium/high cpu usuage and my computer can not enter idle state because of this.
When I play games or run a benchmark the lighting service is consuming more than usual cpu power giving me a drop in performance
The only way around this problem is to not use the RGB and set it to DARK but you still have to stop the Lighting service I did not have this problem before Asus updated the software.

Motherboard that I am using is a maximus formula XII
