Armoury Crate Update Service not working

A few weeks ago, I received a notification to update VGADII to version 0.0.7.2. Today, I also received a notification for a new update of Armoury Crate to version 6.1.13.0.

However, I have not been able to install either of them because I always receive the following error message:

This not only prevents me from updating the software but also does not allow me to use Aura Creator, as Aura Creator requires the update.

I have already tried disabling all other external services to Windows (except ASUS services), but the problem persists. I have been facing this issue for several weeks and don't know how to resolve it.

It is really disappointing to frequently have issues with ASUS services considering the cost of their products.

Please help.

Hello, please open task manager by pressing ctrl+shift+esc. Under Background processes, right click all ASUS or Armoury Crate-related processes and click End Task. Afterwards, reopen Armoury Crate and try updating again.

If this doesn't fix the updating obstacle, please uninstall Armoury Crate here and download it again here.

Stopping services didn't work for me but uninstalling Armoury Crate did it.

Stopped all processes and ran uninstall tool and ran into this below leading to a loop, Retry restarts and try again you get the same failed error or sometimes i get a error 122. anything else to try?

Hello, please try uninstalling using the built-in uninstaller instead of the uninstall tool, and see if that changes the outcome.

If not, please perform a full power cycle by turning off your PC, unplugging your power cable, waiting a few seconds, replugging it, and turning on your PC again. Hope this solves your issue!

it kept failing and i was able to install AC using full install files updates done until it tries to update to v6.1.13.0 it hangs and does nothing i can even start AC again and it even asks me update  and again hangs at the point in image below. i have let this sit overnight and still nothing. Any suggestions

Perhaps you can try using Revo Uninstaller to completely remove Armoury Crate, including any residual files that can be left behind from before. Then open your task manager by ctrl + shift + esc and find any Armoury Crate services still running and end all their processes. Then try installing Armoury Crate again.

I have actually done that. I have had this issue on my older gaming system running

Asus Crosshair X670E Hero, w\AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM

Oh well thanks for trying. It works fine on my New Gaming System. Updated with no problem
