Hello everyone, I hope this helps someone who is experiencing problems with the armoury crate software.
I just bought a new computer and had my ROG RYUJIN II 240 cooler installed in it, downloaded the armoury crate software and had problems from the first second - my device was not recognized by the software. Of course I looked for every possible solution starting with updating drivers and re-cheking the connection of my cooler to the motherboard but nothing helped - until I saw someone commenting that reinstalling Winodws 11 would do the trick but it looked absurd to me because it was a freshly bought and installed computer and at that moment I knew the forum would be no good to help with my case
Anyway to my solution:
I saw some guy on reddit commenting that installing an older version of Armoury Crate might fix it so this what I did:
1. Completely uninstall Armoury Crate and Asus folders from your computer (including ProgramData, AppData-Local, AppData-Roaming)
2. install an older version full package (tested only with 1.0.3.6 (click here) ) and choose your hardware component during installation (in my case Rog Ryujin II cooler)
3. after installation finished, go to the updates section in the Armoury Crate software and update only your hardware components driver
* At this point, go to the devices page and see that it is working but not completely (device page is loading and showing but it's not really usable/clickable) and in my case I couldn't choose custom gifs for my cooler. *
4. Go back to the updates section and update everything fully
5. Now it's fully working - enjoy
This is what worked for me and for my cooler, it might work for you and it might not - this clearly shows that there is certain problems with the current version of Armoury Crate and reinstalling older version and then updating through the app should do the job.
